I can't speak for everyone on this site but I have always been impressed with the smaller town middle schools. I love the way the smaller town communities get behind their teams. Here in Lexington all our fans are just the parents of the players. I guess that is the reason you don't see as many posts from people here.
Jaylin Acree from Frankfort is a stud, flat out stud, I would put him up against anyone. He will probably be starting lineback next year on the high school team. Did I mention that he is a STUD!!
I am baised but how about these Lone Oak Players: Rasheed Jones who was a 7th grade All-American at Running Back and is averaging 10 tackles a game this year MLB.

Bronson Owen QB- The fastest player in the state and has over 700 yards passing with 12 touchdowns and only two interceptions and also has over 400 yards rushing. Those stats are nice but he is mostly out of the game at halftime since the scores are so lopsided.
brandon jones is the best running back and player in middle school football
I guess we will see how good he is against middlesboro thursday goodluck to you guys.
Fish from henry co
Mat Patten from Magoffin county was a really great middle school player. Not very big in size. but very big in heart. He sees alot of time for the hornets at the varsity level.
Yeah I'm going to be a little bias but I'm sure few will disagree that has played against him--- DT Khris Noble (5' 10" 295lbs) from Jackson Co. Was #59 most of the year but now is #45. Known as " The Aminal" by his teammates and coaches Averages 8 tackles a game and thats on constant double team. Has motor that don't stop. Has one of the quickest first steps in the state and can run sideline to sideline like a LB. Never quits on a play and will chase runners 15 yards down field. Was suppose to go to the FBU Top Gun camp but had knee surgery that kept him out of that camp but still is a strong canidate to represent KY in the Youth All-American Bowl Game. Without a doubt one of the top 2-3 DT's in the state and thats at playing at 80% cause of the knee
prater helton from paintsville
#5 Barger and #35 CANADY from KNOX are very good. The Barger Kid is a pure athlete and the Canady kid is a Beast at Full=back and MLB.....
I'd like to add Nate Cole #20 from Knox is a very talented back and has showed how good he could be the last two games rushing for 7tds and 300-400 yds

Very True:rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon::rockon: Panthers
Parker Uhl #23 From Middlesboro is one of the best all around athletes I have ever laid eyes on. He is a very strong runner on offense and is a very sound defensive player as well. He would be a great all-star player with his speed, strength and nose for the ball. Good season Parker!
Brandon jones that plays for hazard 7&8 grade he is the fastest back in ky
How about the kid from Jenkins, Seth Hall 6'5" 230 true 8TH grader. Great skills and footwork.
Yes I have seen the 7th and 8th grade QB's at Lex Cath.....great footwork, decision making and arms. The 8th grade QB is the best I've seen in middle school football for years. Where did this kid come from?????

Well obviously you've never seen Skyler Griffith (5'11 145) from Williamsburg. The kid has loads of talent and I truly believe that if he keeps growing he could be a D1 player. His regular season stats are very impressive, he rushed for over 700 yards in 48 carries including 16 TD. Also, he has thrown for over 1500 yards including 22 TD's. On top of that he is accurate too, 49 for 75 passes, that's right at 65%. He has done all of this only playing in 23 out of 40 quarters. That's impressive!
wow
it seems like everybody is leaving out Anderson County. although they have been somewhat under the radar, they have a 10-0 team and great talent. quarterback zach carmichael is a beast and runningback chris toomey has speed and power. defense is nice too.
anderson county's qb zach carmichael, rb chris toomey, wr dusty puckett. we also had an all-state lineman last year as a 7th grader but will miss the rest of season with injury.
I know it is our first year..but Farnsley Middle School in Louisville has some very good talent...We are looking forward to the Playoffs...I hope we are not over looked...
Delvon Dunn, Malik Walker, Daylen Eichenberger, Aldwin Jackson, Stevie Valentine, Andrew Mahoney, Jordan White...
i would say 6'3 180 pound jaqualis matlock is one of the best wide-outs in the state he has caught 10+ recieving touchdowns and has only been thrown too 20+ times for sure.he also is one of the best kickoff specialists in the state. he has also batted down many passes and blocked many punts he is also the BEST 8th grade basketball player in the state 8th in the country . look him up hes on the jr. all america team. very humble too. we also have a backup running back that is super fast runs a 4.50. super elusive and we also have a great line lt is (6'6) lg is (5'6 me) center is (6'1) rg is (5'9) rt is (5'9 and also is temondusly strong) i won lineman of the year award our qb is 5'9 our rb is 5'9 our other wr is 5'10 our fb is 5'11 and our tight end is 5'10 1/2. we also have and amazing defense with a great front line with a 6'0 left end 5'6 lt (me) 5"9 ng 5'11 rt 5'10 right end . 5'11 lolb 5'9 mlb, 5'10 1/2 rolb 5'9 safety , 5'6 and 5'3 cornerbacks. great team if we wpuld mature mentally
I guess if you have had contact with this kid on the football field you would know it. Jalen Washington #4 at Frankfort middle is a nightmare. He has accounted for 42 TD's this year and will drive you crazy at WR,RB and QB. He scored 14 of the touchdowns on punt and kickoff returns. He is a very humble kid. If you are on our schedule, you know him well.
I saw that kid against LCath and he looked average, he wasnt even the best RB in that game. The RB on the other team killed Washington and their team!!!!
Not even worth response, but if you were there, then i can understand why you would think that. You are a Cath fan. I bet if you ask their staff, they would disagree. And things would have been a little different if #32 played in that game. I bet you they would agree with that too.

Yep, if # 32 had played it would of been different. We still would of won but I seriously doubt that it would of had a continuously running clock. I'm think more of a 36-18 type game. What do you think Dr. Phil? BTW good luck and hope you guys win it all.
Its just like Shawn Carter says, "Men lie, women lie, but numbers don't." Watching that game on tape you could clearly see he was not the best player on the field for that game. Not worth a response? Come on man, you got it handed to you regardless of who was injured. Thats how it goes sometimes. Im sure you had trouble sleeping after that game ended! THE TRUTH HURTS, IF YOU SCARED GO TO CHURCH...
I know Graves County isnt known for having great football players but this year in 8th grade they have a really good player to watch. His name is Cody Crider. He was all-conference player, the only bad side is he missed several games due to injury. He makes a total difference on offense and defense. Keep an eye out for him, he is a difference maker!!!!
Knighted, You are possibly correct about that outcome. We are realist in our program, we know that 19 kids is a tough undertaking playing the amount of D2 and D1 we play. A loss does not bother us at that level. The fact is, in 2007 there was no team. So for us to play the schedule we do and come out 6-5 in 2008, 11-1 in 2009 and 9-2 in 2010 is OK!
BM8, I lost no sleep at all over that game. That would be like LC loosing sleep getting routed in a 7v7 game. Has that ever happened? We are proud of our team, 19 kids total, and 6 of them 6 graders. Lexington Cath should not even have allowed us to score. We get it. You obviously do not know me or crazy words like that would not even come out of your mouth.

LOL, i have nothing but admiration for the Frankfort program. I'll b the first to admit it that I was still worried about our games outcome even when the score was 40-14 right after "our" Jaylen ran back the 2nd half opening kickoff. You have done a heck of a job with those boys and I commend you for it. Don't stop now though.:Cheerlead
