Well, this has been a big topic in the prediction threads. So, I figured I'd make one just for it.

Here's the way this district would shape up if the season ended today...

1. Belfry = 6-1 overall & 3-0 district

2. Sheldon Clark = 4-2 overall & 2-0 district

3. Shelby Valley = 3-3 overall & 2-0 district

4. Prestonsburg = 1-5 overall & 1-1 district

-------------------------------------------

Belfry
Good Wins - Lawrence County, Pikeville
Bad Loss - Henry Clay
Big games left: Prestonsburg, Sheldon Clark, Ironton,OH

Sheldon Clark
Good Wins - Fairland,OH, Prestonsburg
Bad Losses - Boyd Co., Lawrence Co.
Big games left: Belfry, Shelby Valley, Pike Central

Shelby Valley
Good Wins - Pike Central
Bad Losses - Breathitt Co, Letcher Central, Grundy,Va.
Big games left: Belfry, Sheldon Clark, Prestonsburg

Prestonsburg
Good Win - Magoffin Co. (Not considered really big, but got a W)
Bad Losses - Ashland, Sheldon Clark, Hazard, Paintsville, Pikeville
Big games left: All of them !!!
*Prestonsburg needs to win out to have a chance to host a playoff game and avoid a trip to Leslie County in the 1st round.

I think that Pike Central will win big in this game

1. Belfry
2. Johnson Central
3. Pikeville
4. Hazard
5. Sheldon Clark
6. Paintsville
Lawrence Co
8. Letcher Central
9. Prestonsburg
10. Shelby Valley

what are some players in eastern ky that make big impacts on both sides of the ball?

Game was close think that the ashland JV made a few mistakes. But the punt return from greenup got called back for block in the back which would prob made it 20-22 then at less have on attempt for a 2 pt conversion. Towards the end Jeremy Nethercutt had to be transferred to kings daugther where he is reported to have a bruised spinel cord. :AngelPray prayers for him

I would have to say the Lawrence Co./Breathitt Co. showdown in 97. That was by far hands down for me, there are some others that were good but that one stands out alone. It was 8 or 9 people deep all around the field and a packed staduim. It was just awsome.

Dunbars, sean o'brian and southwsterns ryan pruett get my vote, both will be fighting for the #1 spot, i know that sean is hitting 85% of his kickoffs into the endzone and hitting a 52 yard field goal against lone oak, but they again ryan pruett is hitting 85% of his kickoffs aswell into the endzone, and has hit fieldgoals from as far as 46 yards, with a 46 yarder against boyle county last friday night, i believe ill see sean at tennessee, and ryan at any school he wants to go to, but rumor has it he wants to go to eku.....
