I can't wait for the championship rings, jackets, banquet, etc. The parade is going to be something to see. I bet they are putting up the road sign as we speak. It a great day to be a Bobcat!

Betsy Lane has currently defeated Pikeville, Raceland, and Ashland in 7v7 tournaments this year. 2A better be on notice…atleast until they put the pads on.

It is a very different game then, but for a program like Betsy Layne, with its history, it is an accomplishment. I doubt you would find anyone at Betsy Layne saying that they could beat these teams in a real game of football, but it is obvious these kids have worked hard and should be proud of their accomplishment.

100%. Just having fun! Programs that are looking to build something should pride themselves on the baby steps. Keeping one foot infront of the other and getting kids that will go out and compete!

Pikeville smoked BL earlier in the day (I don’t think BL scored and Pikeville scored 3-4 times easily and put their JV in) and then had a couple kids sit out the final game due to the heat. Let’s just say important pieces. Horrible pass interference call gave the game to BL but kudos to them for winning it. I was more impressed by Letcher. Their QB was good and they actually ran plays they will run in a real football game like Pikeville was doing. Just glad to see some live sorta/kinda football.

This is encouraging. I would love for Pikeville to really step up the passing game this year. Obviously would open up the running game too. I trust the staff and think Pikeville may surprise some people this year.
