You see what I did there.

Anyone sleeping on Franklin Co. will regret it IMO.

Corbin can’t stop the run and Franklin can’t stop the pass….  Smile Neither can stop Boyle…  Woah Ha ha ha. I’m just poking fun. But I might be just telling the truth lol.

I don't think either can stop Boyle either, but Franklin Co is pretty dang good.

Ashland will probably have to play much better against Johnson Central this season than they did last year. Johnson Central's rushing offense was decimated by injuries last season and this year's rushing offense is one of its best. Turnovers, injuries, or an uncharacteristic number of flags could negate JC's edge on the ground. The game will feature Ashland's speed against Johnson Central's physicality, which is the usual match-up in this rivalry. Hopefully, Johnson Central's defense will make a few stops in the game. Johnson Central will not be sleeping on Ashland.

No one is sleeping on Ashland.  If they are they better wake up really quick.

Ashland is more than capable of making a serious run in the playoffs.

This isn't the first time I've said these things on here either  Wink

Franklin County is really good.  They run the ball so well, I think their defense gets over shadowed.  They have a really really good set of LB's.  They get up field and are really physical.  Franklin's biggest weakness is their passing game.  If it was a little better I'd put them up there with PT.  I think they have the ability to beat almost anyone on any given night.

Franklin County is a dangerous team in the 4th Round every year. After this year, I think Franklin County will get over the hump in one of the next 2 seasons after this season. They have a very nice-looking young group of kids and they just need to keep doing what they are doing. Eventually they will get by the 4th round game. I also think the key is to open up the opposing defenses with a passing game and running QB, like a lot of teams I see fizzle out, this part of the game seems to get so overlooked. What I mean is watch Coopers QB, Elam at Corbin, they can hurt you running just as much as passing and at the right times. Franklin County adds that to its arsenal, and they will be cooking with real butter! Smile But just developing the QB is only a part of it, you have to run routes complimentary of the QB you have, Thats another thing I hate when watching film, a team will have a QB and throw two straight passes down field about 40-yard passes and the entire field wide open from 5-15 yards. With no intentions to throw short. Short game is where it's at but not every pass to the sideline at the line of scrimmage.

There will be no 4A birds playing at Kroger Field. You can take that to the bank.

Corbin's offense alone gives them a shot of making it to Kroger Field,  IMO.

I guarantee you those upper class men would love another shot at the title.

If Johnson Central beats Ashland, it will be interesting to see how the RPI treats the Redhounds. Covington Catholic is also stuck playing in an even weaker district than Corbin, but they close with weak 6A team, Campbell County.

Redhounds will be the 2 seed in the East or at worst 3 seed. So how do you think Corbin will play Boyle. Boyle will end up the top seed in the East. If All teams win out with no losses.

Johnson Central vs Boyle
Corbin vs Ashland or Covington Catholic.

I didn't say that Corbin might play Boyle County in the third round. If Pulaski upsets Corbin at home, Johnson Central beats Ashland and Covington Catholic, then I'm not sure how the RPI rankings would stand. That's a lot of ifs, and I think Ashland will be favored at home over JC and Covington Catholic will probably be favored over either Ashland or JC. Obviously, Corbin will be favored over Pulaski at home, but Pulaski has made impressive improvements during the season.

Smile I do not see any other 4A team beating Johnson Central with that offense steam rolling honestly. I think Ashland is the mystery for me, they have to win against JC at home but thats a tall task. It takes a heck of a defense to beat that run game and I just didn't think JC was healthy last season when they played. So no shade at Ashland but they have to win against JC to prove other wise. So Covington Catholic is not like last years CC team. I got Johnson Central myself in the 4 seed only because of their RPI. Its a good thing there isn't a tournament setting like old times. I would hate to see that JC machine again if I were Corbin.  Woah
I too would hate to see JC'S run game again if I was Corbin.
Also,  if I was JC,  I'd hate to see that air raid of Corbin's again.  They've got on of the most effective passing games I've seen.

Right now with the way I feel the RPI will fall I agree.  I like (4)Corbin over (1)Franklin County, while (3) Paducah Tilghman and (2) Boyle battle it out.

Of course the way the RPI ends after the last regular season games will be huge and could change everything!

If JC beats Ashland will they see Boyle in the 3rd round? If they lose who will they see?
