HB 563 states that any player that transfers from out of the school district must sit out one year. But, if the student transfered before July 1st, 2022, they are grandfathered in under the previous rules.

That's what I remembered in some articles I saw over the summer.  If that's true and that bill takes precedent over any KHSAA rules, then all of the transfer talk in the future is done.  That's disappointing as it makes the message board more fun.  

I doubt any players or parents are willing to sit out a whole year, though, in order to change schools. If anything, it will just send more kids in our area across the river to Ironton,
