Ryle 50, Newport Central Catholic 48: Ryle sophomore center Bobby Stauffer sank two free throws with 2 seconds remaining to lift Ryle, ranked No. 5 in The Enquirer Northern Kentucky coaches' poll. Stauffer was fouled going for a rebound on a NewCath miss.

Senior guard Andy Ahern, junior forward Clay Coleman and junior center Tate Nichols scored 12 points each for the Raiders.

Junior guard Grant Pangallo and senior guard Jeremy Connor scored 11 points apiece for NewCath, ranked No. 6 in the coaches' poll.
