Map of Kentucky football counties by Class

I actually don't have a huge problem with the current system and I agree it will most likely never change. My point was, if your main issue was too many unworthy teams are getting in, you don't need to revise the entire structure top to bottom, just limit the teams that get in from each district to 2 (or at most 3).

I understand what you are saying, but moving to 5 classes eliminates at least one team from every district in the state from making the playoffs and in three of the five classes it would remove 2 teams from each district.
As of right now, you can be 0-10 and make the playoffs in a 4 team district.

Intentionally left them off the list since they didn't participate in district. They will screw up my perfect number of teams when they come back Confusednicker:

By then there will probably also be a merger of two or more schools, some school will start a program and the new Lexington school should be ready to play also.

Does anybody else think that 3A is the most diverse & 6A is the least diverse.

I would rank it like this......

3A: Most diverse
4A: 2nd most
2A: 3rd most
1A: 4th most
5A: 5th most
6A: Least diverse
