Hazard has demonstrated that they can win in a low scoring game. Hazard and Perry have a nice blend of speed and power. I think that is the reason that any game they play is going to be close. I thought Hazard did a nice job of pushing Cornett away from the basket more than he wanted to be and Olinger did a nice job on Martin. Amos needs to get more involved in the scoring if they loose a starter to foul trouble.
Perry did not execute some plays inside and Tyler Mullins was out of the game early with foul trouble made a difference. I'll pay to watch them play each other again.

I would LOVE that. Breathitt plays well against Hazard and Perry matches up well with Knott. Both would be close games and the winners would meet in the finals.

Just got home, grats dawgs. I'm very disappointed in the way Perry played. They played like they did when they hit that midseason slump.
Hazard was more aggressive and Perry flat out beat themselves. Dumb turnovers, missed layups, and lack of rebounding.
Worst game I've seen Cornett play. Missed several layups and dropped a lot of easy passes.
I agree zagafan. I honestly believe it will be like last year and Perry/Knott will draw first round. Let's go ahead and get it over with.

I do recall someone telling me I didn't know what I was talking about. Did I not call this game almost perfect? Said dawgs by 3? Only thing is Whitaker didn't have a break out game. Good game to both teams.
