Perry Central 75 Breathitt Co. 56

Reds#1Fan Wrote:I love seeing Breathitt's fans post on here. All they want to do is blame the refs and say wait till the next game. Anyone that knows basketball knows that to win the region you must be able to play defense for a whole game. Breathitt gives up about 80 pts a game. Coach Noble has coached these boys for most of their middle school and high school years and they don't know how to play any DEFENSE at all who gets the blame for that?

If you take away Breathitt's run and gun they aren't going to beat many teams. Wolfe Co. should have beat them on Friday night and that was the biggest difference in their 1st and 2nd game.

i agree with you 100% everyone of the BHS fans has blamed it on the refs and has said wait for region well if there district wasnt so weak they wouldnt even make it to the region tourney....:Clap:

Lol
I think Perry will take care of them again and as bad as I hate to say it, Knott will too. Breathitt just don't play any D to beat those two teams.

I agree with everything you said but this. Salyers is not a game changing but he's a solid player that does the dirty work. He's a good role player but Cornett has soooooo much talent. Cornett blocks or alters any shot around him on the defensive end.

Good comeback, Aslan I think Hatcher has the right lineup now. Cornett should be starting and Salyers is a solid player and gives the team a spark when he comes in that is something that PCC has lack all season. I notice that Hatcher has Salyers and Cornett sharing the time now with about 4 mins. a piece each quarter. Cornett is really looking good, and he and Salyers last night against Breathitt got 18 pts. and about 8rebs each and if PCC gets this night in and night out from the center postion they r going to be hard to beat.

Telling you Cornett had the best game of his life and was something coaches wasnt thinking about and you fans know this,he cant run the floor and rest is what he will need maybe thats reaason for the slow style ball PCC runs, and hopefully salyers will feel like playing after Coach takes his quality mins and gives to someone that dont deserve them, his size is for a football field not a basketball court and u C'dores know this making fun of kid isnt nice of you all, sign him that ball cause that was his game of the year!!!Always remember where the FINALS are played at and remember PCC will be at BHS for their game and tables will be turned!!Smile

After watching Doug Noble coach the only way that Breathitt could beat Perry is if the bus get's lost and Perry dont make it to the game. I do know this Breathitt should beat Perry with the talent that they have, but Doug Noble does not have a clue about coaching, or working with these boys to make them better.:please:

How quickly things change in Jackson. Just a couple years ago Doug Noble was the second coming. Now he cant do anything.

Please Owsley County come and get Doug Noble back. He is going to cost us the only shot that we have at a region title in a very long time. Please Owsley take Doug and all his coaches and dont forget redskinmama off 476.

I have said it it was Cornett that was differance in game BUT,he made shots he will never make in another game!!!His game is football and he better stick too it....Basketball is game of fleet footed players and he surely will have to prove it in more than one game...

Cornett has something you can't teach, which is obvious. He is improving each game and it's not like he scored 30 points or something. He hit a few nice shots, he's got a nice touch on his shot to be a big man. Perry needs him to win region, he is a game changer on the defensive end.

the same could be said about some breathitt players but i thought cornett kept up very well with the run and gun pace of the bobcats but PCC slows down the game which would fit him and you calling hatchers offense sad is a joke truth is if a mountain team ever wants to go to RUPP and reach a satarday night game they better do it by ball control and not run and gun because every team that tries that most of the time runs right back home after the first round
#78
I sort of hate the "slow down" game but think you are correct about competing at Rupp. You can't run with those teams!

well hello bobcatbball I've been busy painting the posters the redskins run through during their county tournament games.... I didn't know i had a fan on here...lol...As for the game it was good up until the 4th quarter...I've been around a lot of ball and when you lose you don't cry...you just suck it up and go on....Still proud of the boys and everyone was in high spirits at practice today...As for the coach I've known his family for years and you can't ask for a better friend or coach...Doug can get more out of the kids than anyone I know!!!! Yeah he did have holdbacks when he won state but so did everyone else that was there....I am honored as a bobcat fan to have Noble as our coach!!Hope he stays for a long time.... Just remember Bobcatbball at the end of the game there is nothing you can do about the score and in a few days it's ancient history...These kids are making memories and playing for the team they love.......Go Bobcats!!!!!!!

Talk with Salyers' Dad and he said Josh was fine with spliting the time with Dillion and given the team a spark off the bench. Great to see a kid that feels this way and don't get mad, Hatcher is lucky to have him.

bobcatbball must of been a kid that got cut or didnt get off the bench last season. I have been to several games this year and I enjoyed watching this game better than any.
#83
I really enjoy watching the games 2 warmachine...I hate that slow ball stuff...All I can say is Doug Noble does a great job and what makes bobcatbball an expert on what a coach should be like anyway??? I hope you have a fun time at the game tonight I know I will......Win or Lose!!!!!!! Go Bobcats!!!!!! Have fun tonight boys and know that the fans and the coaches are behind you 100%

That's the problem with Breathitt Co for some reason you folks down there think you should win the region every year and in reality, unless you're Hazard or Perry you're lucky, (no matter who the coach is) to win a regional championship once in ten or 15 years. It don't matter who you bring in to coach at Breathitt you're not going to win many regional titles simply because you don't have the talent. Why don't folks just accept that and leave a good decent coach alone and let him coach these kids for a few years and see what happens. You keep running a coach off every year and you're never going to have a program.

Obviously, you slow Breathitt down and make it a half-court game and they are not as good as they are when they run-and-gun.

thats where you are wrong the 54th district has better coaching and more money but talent is very wrong breathitt has went south due to political hiring instead of doing what perry would do and go get them a proven coach. thats i knowdifferent sport but breathitts girls rang off 3 titles in a row and a girls region champ has not been from perry since 2004 its not the koolaid up there is just every other program wont let themselves have a chance
