Letcher County Central @ Pulaski County 11/20
#31
This should be one dandy of a game! I admit i have not given much respect all year to Pulaski Co. and they have always found a way to prove me wrong. they are red hot and focused and the home winning streak is solid. LCC however has been in this situation playing away the last two years. i have also had my doubts about the Cougars during the season. I am pulling for LCC as always though and feel that there experience in this situation will be the game breaker. It really all comes down to which team executes and once on top does not look back or become to comfortable because both teams are come back kids! Also going for LCC is the tough defense they just faced in Harlan Co. and my hat is off to the Blackbears. I feel LCC will be ready to put up a bunch of points after being held to so few.

I'll take Letcher Central by a touchdown. Could be a high scoring game.

Best of luck to both!

Defense has to make stops. We can't keep trading scores on this team. We have to stop there offense, and give our offense opportunities.

The stops will be there or we will not advance!

I also think your def. has gotten better. However, I don't see the scoring that came early. I'm not saying that the offense is worse, but something is going on. Teams are doing a better job stopping you. Whatever the cause, it is cause for concern. PC is peaking at the right time. We have played you both during the season, but much has changed since. I would have picked LCC early , but now going with PC. LCC will have trouble putting up the points needed to win.

Problem is you haven't traded scores with anyone in a while.

I will take Pulaski in a close one by 6. Good luck to both teams.

There has been only one team to really stop them. Outside the HC games, the last 5 they scored, 34,52,36,42,53.

They are not struggling as bad as you may think.

Point taken. Why the low Harlan score? Larkeys def i know now. It is different and harder to figure out. Close game still I think PC by 6
#40
Thanks for the clarity Yogibear!! Mr.Crewe does have a point though as we have not had the early scoring we once did. Hope you didn't jinx yourself bringing that up Paul.Confusedhh: Good luck to both teams and no injuries!

Roughly 43 points per game the last 7 games if you exclude the two contests vs. Harlan County. That is a lot of points. They scored more during that stretch than they did the first 5 games. Facts and truth really screws up some of these threads.

Think PC takes anything form those two games? I sure would if I were to coach them.
#43
Maybe, but definitely different styles. You go with what got you there. I doubt most coaches would change at this point. They may do some similar things.

From one coal miner to another don't worry about the weight, just load the wagon. Go talk to Whitaker and give him some tips, I'm sure in your mind you could teach him a thing or two about offense. With a qb that got his first start this year and teaching him a new offensive scheme seems to me LC has done extremely well. Your misery will continue for many years because the future of LCC football looks to be very bright, so get over it.

Him teach Whitaker something? Lmao thats funny. All that guy can do is talk trash on a website. And Whitaker is out there winning games and going to regional championships.

Saw them practice some yesterday. They look serious, and they should be. They really don't want to go 0-3 in regional play, and I think that is the message.

Both these teams deserve to be where they are. However, I think the Maroons are a much better team at this time. I will take Pulaski County 42-20.

I would like to invite all Pulaski and Letcher fans to come tailgate before the game. A local radio station is doing a live broadcast from 5-7p at the field. Set up your tables, get out the food, and lets all have some fun before a great game!
Also, PC Maroon fans, the Maroon walk will take place at 5:30-5:45 Friday afternoon as the players make their way from the auditorium to the field house. We want to line the walk with Maroon fans to cheer on the Maroons. We want to see fans from both teams out early to cheer for their team!

Great to see that two communities can come together and have a great game. If you ever have to play us at home, I promise you will get the same hospitality.

We will be set up on the bottom side of the field house at around 4:45pm or so. Everyone is welcome. Even if you just want to hang out. Want to pack the place out! I am working with a local restaurant to get some more food for us. Come on out!
#58
Good luck to Letcher Co.!!
