I will go with Henry in a close one...

Should be a good game, but I think Central pulls it out late. Central is not as good as last season, but they do not have to be to win 3A in 2009. Any of the teams left can win it.

If this team plays like they did against E-Town they very well could upset Central. Not sure what got into them against the Panthers but they better bring that against the Yellowjackets.
Good luck Wildcats!
Good luck Wildcats!

The young men at Henry county has worked very hard all year long. This is the best henry county football team thats ever came through henry county. The seniors will not let this be the last game for them. They have to much heart and desire. This is the year Henry county shows the state of kentucky who they really are. Henry county is goin to fight and grind untill the end, and its about time for the king to fall from the top. Henry county was only supposed to win 3 or 4 games this year, but "shockingly" they are 10-2
They beat teams their not supposed to beat such as moore, and E-Town, and Central is no diffrent from those 2 teams.

Should be a hard, long fought out game. I look for Henry to come out on top in the end and pull the upset

Central and by a wider margin than Henry County would anticipate. Central's kids know the drill and it is showtime.

idk why people are saying that central beating henry will be a upset??? they are the 2 time defending state champs :worthy: henry must knock to king off to earn respect.
11-17-2009, 03:00 PM
im going to say henry by 3 tds i just think that henry is going to come out with more passion and more heart to win there first regional championship in school history.

I agree that to be "the man" you have to beat "the man," but in my opinion every team deserves respect, especially at this point in the playoffs. I say Central 34-21

i understand all the henry players getting on here and posting their warm and fuzzy thoughts about heart, desire, grinding, and etc....but at this point every team still playing works hard.all teams have heart and desire, otherwise they wouldnt be playing.at this point it comes down to talent and execution.if henry wants to play the no respect card,so be it.but that wont help you come friday night when patterson is head hunting and ace wells is flying down the sideline.

just read official word from ty scroggins that tim patterson, after sitting out against western hills, will not play anymore for central.patterson injured his knee early on against spencer co. but returned and finished the game.now scroggins says patterson will have an mri to determine the extent of the damage and will not play basketball at this point.his thoughts are on rehab and getting ready for his freshman year of college.

Sad about Patterson, he is the best athelte I have ever seen in Kentucky

best of luck to patterson wherever he trys to play college ball at but back to the subject both of these teams have showed the deserve to be here! henry and central just found ways to win this season centrals record does not show the talent they play but henrys does becuase they have busted it when everyone said they couldnt one reason becuase these boys have sold in to it the breath it they have one heartbeat and i belive that they are to HARD NOSED and disiplined for a team like central all they have to do is play football like its supposed to be played and when push comes to shove i believe in my god honest opionion the champ will fall! this is the year central is hurting and when the animal is hurt you attack when your small dog you go kill it becuase if u let the bee stick around it can get dangerous untill it ****es a wildcat off and slash there goes its head GOODBYE CENTRAL! HCTO

I'm going to take Henry Co. they have what it takes to beat Central IMO.
11-17-2009, 09:12 PM
Well sounds like the state is ready to see a new team other than central make it out of this region! You little Wildcats are still the underdog, and there has not been one good thing said about you boys in Louisville this week, you guys remember that when you play friday night get a little chip on your shoulder and when them boys in Black come walking out to here come the champ here comes the champ just look em in the eyes and tell them you are here to play!

Did I relly just read that? Wow...here is a little comparison on 4 common opponents.
Rushing Yards
LC vs. MHS 423 yards HC vs. MHS 424 yards
LC vs. EHS 243 yards HC vs. EHS 237 yards
Pretty comparible. I think the difference plays out when you look at what they did vs. the teams in Henry County's district
LC vs. WHHS 350 yards HC vs. WHHS 145 yards
LC vs. SCHS 479 yards HC vs. SCHS 192 yards
What that says to me is that despite the probability of Henry County playing in a better overall conference Central is way more physical than any team that they will have seen in their District. We can get into a debate about who had the better non district schedule but I am pretty sure that not even the die hard HC fan could argue that their non district games helped to better prepare them for a deep playoff run than that of Louisville Central
11-18-2009, 11:18 AM
Well Henry county hasnt prepeaired for any of their distirict games like they have for their playoff games. They have practiced more days, practiced longer and harder. you can go on with your little thoughts and opinions but the truth will be told FRIDAY NIGHT HCTO

Should be a great game but i think Central wins it.

Then also look at passing yardage...HC can throw the ball at will, Central cannot. Will this have an affect on the outcome?

Does Henry Co. really have a chance in this one? I thought Central would run away with 3A this year. Did the injury to their QB hurt them that much?
11-20-2009, 07:07 PM
I must say this is the best hc defence ive seen sine i played in 66. Ima take hc in this one; very close but hc's senior leaders will shine in the end!!!:1:
