:thatsfunn 1st round loss? That's really funny, but sorry it isn't going to happen. The Letcher Central team is ready to play some ball and I know there more then ready to have a shot at HCC in round 2. Except this time LCC has that sweet home field advantage, with all the crazy LCC fans cheering in the back ground. Only loss at home this year was to Belfry, which LCC should have won. LCC should not have loss to Harlan County in the first place, it was a rainy, muddy field that played a hugh role in that in my opinion, LCC is accustom to playing on that turf.
Anyhow, back to the point of this thread. District 8 will sweep District 7, round 2 of the playoff's will be LCC vs HCC and PCC vs Whitley. LCC will win and Whitley will win too, and they'll meet in round 3. LCC will have to play a really good game to get by them again, but I think it will happen just because it'll be at home. I think LCC will finally move on to play Highlands.

Letcher Central isn't going to Bowling Green guys, sorry.
I'll say a first or second round loss.

No one said they was going to Bowling Green, but I think they are talented enough and have the players and home field to help them at least get to semi-state. Region is there's to lose.

I think if we make it to Highlands, and lose, Coach Howard will be satisfied with a regioanls championship.

I think it's funny how that dude from Middlesboro gets on here and talk crap. Somebody help me remember that Middlesboro/LCC score? you got to love the jealous people, keep you heads up cougars. Another thing is people talking about yeah they'd lose to highlands, DUH, there isn't an LCC fan around saying we would beat highlands. Nobody around here would have a chance against Highlands, not even those almighty bobcats from across pine mountain. However, if LCC makes to Highlands I'll be cheering like crazy for em.
11-07-2009, 08:44 PM
How far will LCC go? About as far as Harlan County.

LCC to Highlands is a good prediction. I am sorry Harlan but your season is about to make it to the history books.
11-07-2009, 10:18 PM
they will make it as far as they wanna go but IMO they wont make it past Friday the 13th
11-07-2009, 11:19 PM
Letcher County Central will play highlands in the semi-state if they don't get beat before then

No they didnt but thats what was insinuated thats the whole purpose of this thread is so LCC fans can see how many people pick them to make it to if not beat highlands and go to state sorry if you make it to highlands it would be ugly like 56-21 but i have you losing to Harlan County so it dont matter

I would hope that no coach would ever be satisfied with losing a game. He may realize that he is going against a team with superior talent but I don't think he will ever be satisfied with a loss
11-08-2009, 11:04 AM
I believe anything short of beating HC...and the winner of Pulaski-Whitley...would be a disappointment to all involved. As far as beating Highlands and getting ugly... they are dealing with injuries...like any team this time of the year. In order to "be the best you must beat the best".

You are right, there is not ANY team in the mountains that can beat Highlands and probably not ANY team in the state.

We need to take it one game at a time. Harlan Co is coming here Friday, and we know they have gotten better every week. Unless they want there season to end, they need to set a example. Leave no doubt, and have the urgency to score early.
