Johnson Central 62 Scott 41

Eagle Eye Wrote:That is exactly what it is called when you score almost 50 points and run around 15 plays!! :Thumbs:Yes the defense allowed points but I think the game plan was not to get anyone hurt at that time! I noticed that Matney started subbing often in the second quarter on defense. I didn't like the final score because it was very misleading to how one sided it really was! On another note, Sowards is a very good player. Without him it probably would have been 62-0!

You could not be more right, Eagle Eye. Matney did sub early and we don't need our boys hurt! Our younger boys do need the experience. The score was misleading. Nate Dillon ran away with the ball and Scott had no idea! Looking forward to the next round!

Yet again nky I'm not a big fan of moral victories but for a #4 seed to come out and take it to the #1 seed of another district, it speaks to which the level of competition that Scott plays against week in and week out. So I guess in a sense it is one but yet again a loss is a loss.

Also with the conclusion of last nights game, Zach Sowder become the first player in Scott High School history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a season. He will go down as one of the best football players ever to walk the halls of Scott. Great year Zach and a great year to the rest of the team. All of the seniors will be sorely missed...

As a JC fan, I will say if every kid had a heart like Sowder does, you could never lose. He is gutsy beyond belief, and shifty and smart.

I think this game just proves how overrated Johnson Central is. Say what you want, but for Scott to put up 41 points and over 300 yards rushing is impressive. There should be no excuses...Scott flat out took it to JC in a losing effort.

JC better bring it next week or they'll be blown out by Covcath on their home field. Covcath has much more size, speed, and athleticism than Scott.

Congrats to the Eagles on a great finish to a disappointing season. Good luck to all the seniors in the future.

Death Wrote:2008 Scott put 53 on Walton-Verona, 47 on Ludlow, 69 on Henry County. 2007 they put 41 on the board in a loss to Anderson County, 42 on Henry Co. 2002 they put 56 against Grant County, 53 against Bourbon County in thier first playoff game ever, and in 1998 they put 43 against Owen Co.

Nice job! I'd have been hard pressed to come up with one of those scores.
