I agree with you,he can /could be the best in state if he works hard and gets down to about 225 lbs being 250-260 will get him this summer,he is a great young man and has the world of football knowledge and will make a good college football player on either side of the ball,he kinda makes me think of Brandon Jacobs with his size but will have to see how hard he works this summer.

Channing now has 7 offers from colleges, Indiana has joined the list of schools to offer him. Also UK has been placed on his profile as interested in him, from what i hear though UK is out of the question for him. Also today in Den a scout from California was there to watch Channing.

Illinois, Indiana, Troy, Western Kentucky, Stanford, Purdue, Louisville have all offered Channing Scholarships

By the start of the season, its untelling how many scholarships he will have offered to him. Not to bad for a kid from EKY.

UCFB Wrote:Why is UK out of the Question for him? personal reasons? He has never been a UK fan-I know what a shame. Also he wants to play RB in college and we all know that won't happen at UK, they like the small RB's.

New article on Channing, he says that right now if he was to pick he would be heading to Illionis.
05-21-2009, 04:26 PM
Why dont he go play for the Florida Gators and join his boy Tebo? It dont matter how big he is, if hes fast enough, they will put him at RB. I would go down south if it were me. Tanks and T's all year long baby!

Also possibly powerback/3rd down, or full back in a spread offense. A guy with his ability would be devastating on a good screen or draw if you can fake out the DL. Which, his best highlights are draws out of a spread... Look him up on Youtube, 3/4 of his offensive highlights are breakaways on a spread formation draw play. He certainly excels at that type of play because his size makes him difficult for anyone fast enough to catch him to bring him down, but his speed makes it difficult for anyone who could overpower him to catch him.

on the college level im pretty sure every player except possibly the Dbs and safety will be his size and just as fast. he seems to have trouble the first 10 yards or so but once he breaks away in HS no one fast enough to catch him could take him down until he got to L. Central and when u compare his highlights reel to that of the game at the dome its a different story. still channing is one heck of an athlete and id like to see him play for the big blue .
