That is correct. Actually Tim (The Terrible) was left tackle but at times would shift into o.s. l.b. position depending on what the offense was doing. Had very quick feet and a nose for the ball.

I have seen a lot of good names, but I would like to add Nolan DeVaughn from Corbin. He was a good one and went on to play a UK. JMO

The 2006 Russell Defensive Line was the best to take a field that year. The dominated Belfry and Mercer Co on the line of scrimmage in the Semis and at Louisville.

You are correct. I just finished reviewing the 88' championship game w/ Harrodsburg, and in that particular game Tim did play some middle L.B. Harrodsburg was one of, if not the quickest teams they played that year(88).Tim was very versatile for his size. he was listed as L. T on the def.but Hillard would give a different look at times utilizeing Tim. Heck, i remember in some games in 86' & 87' he would put him in at the fullback position with great success! Hey, i agree w/ you about he & Bobby Deramus being a force at those positions. Would like to see something like that again some day.GO PANTHERS!!!

I myself will say Fred Hoskins. Bell High 95. Best technique ever.

There was one guy that played for Breathitt, but I can't remember his name. We played them in 2003 and he was a brute. He was number 5 I'm pretty sure.He was a pretty good D-Lineman, pretty good size and quick too. He played fullback on offense though.

Durham from Rock was a very talented OL and 1 of the better ones I have seen in that offense. He struggled and still does with pass protection but was a monster in the run game.
Jacob Warren from Bell Co. was a heck of OL as well. 2 time all-state and dominated everyone in his way including Leger from Rock in 03. I will never forget watching that game and seeing Leger moving to every postion on the DL and Warren would move to that postion on the OL to block him. Bell would wait to snap the ball. Awesome game to watch. Leger in his own right was a great player and had a wonderful career at UK. Warren just had his number that Friday night.
The best KY D-lineman I have saw in High School to date was Myron Pryor from Louisville Eastern. He was big and explosive as demonstrated in his career at UK.

Having played against Mister Cobble and watching him on defense from the sidelines.. he just trampled everyone in sight.

i've heard alot of great things about my late uncle Eric Branham from Virgie back in the mid eightys i seen some newspaper clippings and one game he had 18 tackles (solo and assists) with four being sacks against wheelright and in another he had 14 tackles against some one else. anyone that has ever played d-lin will tell you that a great game ou would be lucky to get 6-8 tackles.
