This was a ridiculous game! Prestonsburg deserved to get beat, and as bad as I would hate it they should have lost. Their heads were HUGE coming into this game, and they thought they were going to jsut blow by this team, as did I! They "could" have beat this team by as many as they wanted, but they didn't and it is nobodys fault except their own. Like 15 incomplete passes! I just hope they do better next week.

Does anyone know what happened to the RUDE SV player that got thrown out at the end because he threw a fit? Talk about unsportsmanlike!

All teams are going to have a night that things just arent clicking and tonight was that night for Pburg. If you were at the game you seen that this was the worse game the Blackcats have played all year. Fumbles, Dropped Passes, Over and Under thrown balls, its just part of it and your going to have those games. But good and great teams always find a way to win and thats exactly what Pburg done tonight. Like someone posted earlier if this game were played again on a different night the outcome would be totally different IMO. Anyone know why the Valley player was trying to fight toward the end of the game? And the Valley coach could not have been anymore classless when Craynon was laying on the field injured with everyone on there knee and he started yelling out on the field. But great effort SV keep your heads up and for Pburg, congrats on the win and district champs.

Shelby Valley deserved to win this game and they have nothing to hang their heads about. Valley's defense really impressed me tonight with their tackling, speed, and the way they swarmed to the ball. The Valley offense did a great job also with all the unique formations and the way they broke all those tackles.

As for Prestonsburg, you guys cannot afford to have these types of games, simple as that. No one blocked, too many passes were dropped, and their were way too many missed tackles. Looked like the Blackcats thought that Valley would lay down for them, like they thought against Bath County, but in both games Valley & Bath landed the first punch and it took Prestonsburg either a half or a few quarters to respond in both and that will not get Prestonsburg anywhere in the playoffs.

As for you Blackcat seniors, your days are numbered in a Blackcat uniform, take some pride & leadership and play to your capabilities, because you guys are capable of going deep into the playoffs, and I'll be ****ed if I see another group as talented as you guys lose in the 2nd round or in the regional championship game like past teams have.

SV gave PB their best shot. It's already been said, but SV's speed on defense was a big factor in this game. If their offense could've moved the ball in the 2nd half and at least ate up some time after Varney's interception, it may have been a different story.

Anyone saying Prestonsburg isn't as good as advertised is only looking at the score of the game. Craynon tweeked something late in the 2nd quarter and wasn't a big factor in the 2nd half. Seth Setser repeatedly pounded the ball up the gut late in the game, including 41 yard rumbling touchdown - WOW. PB held SV to virtually no offense in the second half. PB converted "3" 4th down plays in their final drive guys - that's impressive.

Even at their worst, championship teams find a way to win, and Prestonsburg did last night. Never lost their composure. Build on this Blackcats, because the next time you face a team with good speed on both sides of the football, it could be the end of the road.

Don't hang your head Valley, you gave it your best shot and it was a rollercoaster ride to watch. Valley's defense deserved the win for how hard they worked. Give that same effort next week at Breathitt County and good luck guys!

If u were even watching the game you could have scene that p-burg could not have won by as many as they wanted...if you dont remember the score was 12-7 with 28 seconds to go! but yet if p-burg really wanted to run the score up they could have correct? hahaha

I want to respond to this post. SV is a good enough team to fall to P-burg by one with P-burg scoring with 38 seconds to go. SV's speed had nothing to do with it? Why all the missed passes with defenders in the receivers faces then? That makes it sound like Valleys defenders didnt make a difference if the pass was cought or not.

You are right about championship teams finding a way to win. But on the other hand, doesnt championship teams play every game hard and not play down to their oppenent? Actually the Pburg player did not get thrown out, he will be playing next week. I dont know where you are getting your info from. Had a meeting today to watch the film, and #80 from pburg did nothing at all. #6 from SV started throwing punches and that was all. After the game, SV's head coach told one of the Pburg coaches," your team is a bunch of p*****!"
