I believe thier will be alot of surprised people when it comes to lcc.
offense and defense will be better than last year, they will be stronger and faster. Also harlan co central decided to bow out so now we have paintsville for first game.

They seem to be the best in the 14th next year.

There is no 14th Region in football.Smile Smile

Banks is back right?

If so I would not want to face that offense anytime soon, Ben knows some offense

Cougars will be awesome this year. The only question is the wide receiver, but I think coaches will have them ready by the season start.
#69
I hear Harlan County is back on the schedule as the opener now. It's at Letcher Central. Should be a lot of fun (LCC's opener after a great year last year, Harlan County's first game ever, two teams that should have good seasons)

rock-chalk-jayhawk Wrote:thats good, what about the backfield? power or speed

I'm going to say both, LCC has both power (Frazier) and speed (Collins, Brown, etc.) I hope they mix it up a little more with the ball going on the ground as well as through the air.

I think they will throw the ball a little more this year, but they will probably be really balanced on offense.

hows things going for them in the summer, working in the weightroom/ any camps or anything else?

They're working very hard in the weightroom from what the coaches have been telling me. As far as individual camps, they have a couple of offensive linemen going to the Down and Dirty camp next week.
#74
Where's that at? I know they're going to passing league this week, and Charlie, Mckenzie, and Chase are going to a individual camp.

Only a couple???

Yeah, there were several that planned on attending at first but I think only two are going.

Caleb has been to camps at UVA-Wise for senior day camp and RAY GUY kicking camp at EKU.He is planning on going to Georgetown camp and also attending the combine at P-Burg.And I believe that the whole team is going to Georgetown for camp.
#79
The more the better in my opinion...will get them ready for start of practice. I still think we will be very competitive this year.
#80
yeah it will be a great season.....
#81
i really think that this team will be better this year than last year. They remember that lost to highlands and coaches are not letting them forget....
#82
Can't wait !!!:letsparty :letsparty

:TongueirateSho 1:  :runtouchd :runtouchd I just wish that thier coaches would have a little more confidence in these kids. You know they are not stupid, they can tell and sence your fear of losing so be more confident. You guys have a special group of boys,I know, I have been with these boys since 3rd grade.I watched cowan and whitesburg battle it out with each other for five yrs, you could tell it was going to be agood thing when they came together in high school and here we are.So coaches believe like, we the parents of these kids do and you to can see what they are made of.

just athought from a confident parent

GO COUGARS

Cowan and W-burg do not make LCC. Several have made them successful and more will.
#85
I understand that they are not just cowan and w-burg players. You did read my thread very well,I said I watched those two teams because they were one@two for most of those five yrs.I take nothing away from the other teams in the county that make up LCC.We have great players from them as well meant no disrespect what so ever. Sorry if I offended anyone.
#86
Choose your words more carefully and no one will be offended.
#87
LCC will be a good team, but when they played Sheldon Clark in the passing game at Pike Central I was far from impressed. I think they will be a good football team and can be considered the best 5A school in Eastern KY, but I think 5A in EKY is weak compared to the state as a whole.

remember the name sydney fields..he is just a freshman, but he rushed for 2,000+ yards last year in middle school..he is a hause, and when coaches at lcc are done with this kid...LOOK OUT!!!.
