Powell County vs. JBS 3/8

i dont believe they have the size to throw at romans....and i dont believe they have the big guys to get down the floor against powells gun offense....and from what i heard knott couldnt miss when they played powell and powell had their worst game of the season so we will see how it turns out thurs........if it comes down to heart and dedication the pirates are going to take this one....

6'9 collins and 6'6 short and don't forget 12th region officials that have not seen Romans play before and he will not get away with bulling over people. Powell plays a very physical style and it will haunt them in the tourney. Don't get me wrong I hope JBS goes down by hundred. But they have all the breaks lined up for them.

i understand your point but tallness aint nothing romans has the man power to dominate these 2 and i dont get were roman is a bully player..he uses his power to get the ball and finish when he gets it.....i mean i thought u would be pullin for powell being from the 56th district but i guess i was wrong

from what i heard the 12th region refs let things happen, but they dont let it get out of hand. and where its the region i say romans at first will get called for a walk or 2 then get into the flow of things and powells offense will start rolling. but if powell stays at home the whole 3 hour ride to letcher, then jbs could win, but if powell comes ready to play like i know they can, jbs will be in a dog fight and i will take powell everytime. way too much heart and determination. these kids play basketball all year around. they are very determined and will not let down. it dont matter how tall you are, if you get a backside put in ya and get boxed out and go for the rebound, guess what, thats a foul. powell will be ready, lively will have this team even more prepared than what they are. i know jbs is taking powell lightly, guys go ahead, cant wait to see ya thursday and waive goodbye to you all. its going to be the best game in the region this year.

romans will be tough to handle inside....collins hasnt played ne1 as physical as romans....but collins is 6'9...n romans hasnt seen ne1 as tall.....should b an awsome matchup

i agree but i think romans juss plain out man power is going to over take this matchup

Oh yea Powell is gonna come out ready. I don't think either team knows exactly what they are going up against. These teams haven't played each other in forever, two years that I know of, so they have no idea. I definetely think Pirates have a shot at this, but of course they have to come out playing as a team, and working together. Same for JBS, if they can't play as a team they won't do very well. So I guess we will just see.

June Buchanan is the better team and I'll go with them in this one. But it wouldn't surprise me if Powell did come out with this one.

i say Powell in this one.Stepp will be shut down and Powell will come out running.Romans and Banks will get the big guy into foul trouble, and if they cant, i'm sure Skidmore or Johnson can do it.I don't care if he is 6'9, Romans will find away around him.watch for Dennis to score and Kinser will chip in.i say Powell by 3 in a close one.But no matter how it turns out, good luck to both teams.

I personally doubt that Romans is superman in a ball suit. I find it hard to believe that one man can do it all. JBS has already tried that and it don't work.

romans dont do it all. he had 10 during the estill game and powell still won. powell has plenty of players that can step up and play. romans is powells go to guy when they need to score when the game gets close. powell has many weapons, jbs has clark stepp, one player, powell has 16 players that can contribute to their goal.

JBS has more than just Clark Stepp. If the coaches will let them play team ball, you will see their weapons.
