That's what some of the Belfry players said.and they had copies of the comments with them....and supposedly the comments were read to the student body at a pep rally...STU has already left town according to reports coming out of Paintsville!!!

Painstville has not made it past the first round since 2003, when they beat Phelps by 51 points.

2004 - didnt make it to region
2003 - advanced to finals and lost to SV
2002 - advanced to finals and lost to SV
2001 - defeated by Allen Central in second round (Allen Central knocked off SV)

Belfry just proved tonight they were the superior team and they can not only compete with anyone in the 15th Region but win it as well. And Jamie Case solidified why he is not only the 15th Regon Player of the Year, but the BEST PLAYER in the REGION HANDS DOWN!!!! Big game from Dustin May tonight as well putting in 22 points with numerous rebounds and deflections. Hopefully, BELFRY can continute this run and get another win on Friday!!!! On a side note, Landon Slone is the most over hyped player in the Region. He's not even the best player on his team.

Well.....I wanted to give my thoughts, but no matter how I wrote it, it would have just looked like sour grapes and I don't want that, cause it isn't. So, I will just say good luck Belfry.

You have a great point. I believe Van is just as good as Landon. Although Slone does not miss though inside 15 feet. Case had an excellent game and I believe it really helped his stock rise for 15th POY!

Jetpilot I talked to some friends for Valley that is Im sure alot hight up than you (coaches) and their first concern is BL, but they defintley were impressed with Belfry. One of them told me they will give them some serious matchup issues. It will be another great game, SV is a good team but so is belfry.
By the way this isn't just one game from Case he has done it all year. He has shut numerous players down this year. Him and May are two awesome defenders. The big thing for Belfry against Valley will be not making the badd passes in the press, if they avoid that look out.

Paintsville could not keep Case from getting the ball inside the lane. Bundy started out on him and Case just had his way early on....Ferguson and Slone took thier turns guarding Case..
The thing you have to like about Case in tonight's game he took Paintsville's best defenders and had his way!!!
When you come down and able to get the ball inside the lane off the dribble you are going to score or go to the foul line majority of the time.

One thing about Case is he has such a high basketball IQ and he is so strong, he can make so much happen. Belfry is a physicaly strong team.
A couple of times I seen three guys on Case and Case took them to the hole once and dished it out for a three once.

Congrats Belfry on the win. But come on now guys just cause Case shut down Sone don't make him the player of the year. They beat a Paintsville team that didn't even win there district and now woah and behold Jamie Case is a basketball god and Belfry is world beaters. Don't count your chickens for they hatch. It could get derailed quickly.

NOBODY is basing Jamie on one game...people have been saying he is the POY for over a month now...people in this thread were just reaffirming that...and people who hadn't seen him are now believers...haven't seen ANYTHING about him being a "basketball god"! He is, however a very good high school player...and he has proven that ALL YEAR...and especially has proven that in head to head matchups with Slone and Mccarty...the other two players that are talked about as being the best in the region...nobody is counting anything...just making comments about last night's game and Case's performance...come on man...don't read things into posts that aren't there...if you are upset that noone is talking about Valley in this thread then start your own please.

Apparently the boy has been doin it all year long. I hadn't seen him play til lastnight, I have seen every other team in this region play now except for Valley. Case IS the BEST Senior, possibly the best PLAYER I have seen play all year. He did it all, played the PG position, scored points, rebounded, steals etc. McCarty from JC doesn't have defense in his vocabulary, and if I'm not mistaken Case shut him down too on his home floor. What Senior does Valley have that could steal this award from him? What other Senior in this region has put up the numbers in ALL categories that Case has?

Congrats to Belfry! My loyalty is with Pville but Belfry adjusted well to the outside shooting by Vanhoose in the first half. They went to Case as they have all year and stuck with what has worked. Case is a 'jugernaut"! Great game by Vanhoose, they should have truly give him his choice of seats on the ride back home. Good Luck Belfry. Beat Valley!

First let me say thanks to Diso STU...PID,for his contibution in Belfry's win over the superior Paintsville Tigers.
Second I guess the Tigers started baseball practice today didn't they.
Third we won't start football for awhile,and if the Tigers would like to see a little more of Dustin May,I'm sure Coach Haywood would give them a peak,maybe a scrimmage,wouldn't waste a regular season game on them.
Fourth,i hope Stu doesn't OD on what he was smokimg when he made that STU...PID prediction.
Fifth,anybody who watched last nights game,and has a knowledge of the game(key here,with emphasis on KNOWLEDGE),left there knowing they just watched the best player in th 15th,let me say it one more time his name is Jamie Case,Case Closed!!!!!!
