Shelby Valley 62 Pikeville 49

I dont think Valley has the biggest. Pikeville had just as many as they did, and there is no way they can compete with Lexington and Louisville schools in terms of numbers. They are however, one of the best. They are probably the most supportive pep section in the state, traveling to a lot of the away games and even matching or out numbering the home teams pep section.

And as for the pep sections being the loudest\understandable, i think it was so loud and such an amped up atmosphere, that it was just according to where you sat as to which was the most understandable. I know both sections said A LOT of chants that havent been mentioned on here. Jealously/pride/rivalry is misconstruing facts on both sides - but thats basketball haha.

And again, the game was a great one, and the atmosphere made it that much better. I tihnk both these teams will fare well at region.

I was sitting on Pvilles side and at points during the game, valley's chanting was not understandable.

I thought Pikeville won the battle of the pep section's 2nite.

I think the whole pep section is a good IDEA but they are getting out of control! they chant things that are not appropriate for basketball games! and i think that they should chant stuff that is motivating their teams not critizing to the other people in the opposite fan section! but aside from all that i think pikeville's fans beat valley's! they were louder and had more people!

but congrats to valley! and good luck to both pikeville and valley in the region! i'll be there cheering you on!
