-STATS- Wrote:Well Pikeville apparently wanted it more tonight, this was a great game to watch. Im not going to complain about the refs, but they did make some pretty questionable calls in Pikevilles favor, but thats what home cookins all about. Tyler Slone shot a 3 pointer near the end of the game, it bounced off the rim, went up into the air, and Johnny Webb said that it hit the top of the goal when it didnt! It was clear as day that the only part of the goal it hit was the rim, in my 18 years of life and watching basketball that was by far the worst call I have ever seen. I know I said I wouldnt complain, but that call I had to talk about a little. But anyways, congrats to Pikeville and Allen Central keep your heads high and get prepared for Magoffin on friday!LOL....... maybe Pikeville should send that tape to KHSAA also. They complain and say it happened to them at Raceland, now it's being said it happened for them at Pikeville.

Why does someone always have to cry about the refs. Almost every thread has at least a few post bout how they missed this call, or how that blew that call. For the love of Pete get some new material. 99% of the time they are a non-factor!

I think in every game, both teams gets a lucky break. I think Pikevilles came on I belive it was Jordan Bells free throw. He made the first one, the second hit the back of the rim, then came down and got stuck between the goal and backboard. With the jump ball arrow in Pikevilles favor, they get the ball back as the rules said they would.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

I think it was the best basketball game I have seen all year long. It could have went either way. Both teams played hard and clean. Both teams made their runs to try to put the game out of reach. Timely time out's called by both coaches stopped the runs. It was a very good game to watch from the stands, sidelines, and even standing around the court.

Tough loss for AC. The Rebels have still yet to defeat a team with a winning record as we head towards the end of the season. The wheels haven't fallen off yet, but the wagon needs a little tune-up before district play because AC is not playing their best basketball and they are better than what they have shown the past few games.

This was really a good game, unfortunately someone had to lose. I agree both teams played hard and clean. I didn't see any bad attitudes on either team. No mouthing or shoving at any time. The timing of the "cable shot" and the "stuck free throw" didn't help AC. Not saying the calls were wrong, they just came at bad times for AC.
Congrats to Pikeville on the win and good luck in the rest of the season.
Come on REBELS- lets get back on track and finish the regular season with a nice win on Senior Night. Good Luck on Friday- Ryan, Tyler, Josh M, Farley and Justin.

Yeah, when the FT hit the rim and then got stuck, I had never a FT do that ever. And it was the right call as the fans were complaining, but it was a jump ball and Pikeville got the possession.

I had never seen it happen before that.
