You did make an excuse for Clark, read your own post. I have no hidden agenda here and I will say it for you. I don't like JIM STEPP and I really don't dislike Clark. However I do feel sorry for him. If he acts out then he gets talked about. Is that fair. I will be in the stands for every regional game and we will see what happens

nothing kcc pep section said was right but its a pep section and the best one in the region what do you execpt for them to be nice and say good job they don't do that. But that doesn't mean because clark got taunted he can say stuff because if you play college then it will only get worse and there won't be police in between him and the pep section if he says something. He has got to realize that he response was enough points to win the game. That will shut anyone up(not right after the game, but it will). But he made it worse by say something. So i do blame stepp for bringing this on himself.

IMO, shelia stamper is a discrace to knott county. She was the one that told all of the pep section not to be nice and thought all of their ideas were good. She's the one that needs to grow up. I attented knott county central and she was always talking about jbs, how much she hated them and always talking about shane slone. Seriously woman, grow up. Quit trying to run kcc.

anyways i have a question was there any truth to what the pep section said about "tate to knott" Im pretty sure he was thinking about going to valley. But this is the first i heard of him going to kcc so the question is he really thinking about going to kcc or was just this a hope of kcc's?
02-16-2007, 03:13 PM
i heard he came to a couple of knott central games to look and think it over.

i can express my opinion all i want and if you have a problem with it you can just learn how to deal it. shelia stamper is an idiot.
02-16-2007, 03:35 PM
wow now dont go there, no need to be calling names does anybody else remember the famous jbs chant " its alright, its ok , you will work for us someday" they need to heckled for saying stuff like that. being heckled is part of life, so deal with it if you dont like that a women thinks its ok to do that stuff grow up because it is alright to heckle at a ball game thats part of what makes basketball games so great. i think if she was behind what the the pep section was saying ( which i doubt she was) she should get a trophy for making that game as great as it was. Believe it or not that pep section helped knott last night it was a school effort that they should be proud of. I know if my school had fans like that i would be the happiest person in ky.

I'm the guy that gets painted for KCC, we did not say "clark is gay" get your facts striaght. And for the JBS Fan and all you other people that think you are better than everyone else because you go to a private school you need to climb off your high horse. And if you want to talk about how people from KCC's IQ scores are low and that we are all stupid... I have a four year scholarship to UK... you all will be at Alice Lloyd.

great game last night i got rough and at the end some calls went to jbs but i mean it was at jbs and yes jeff ritchie did go to jbs and alc and he did play for couch stepp, but kcc just didnt finish out the game like they should have. but the kcc pep club did what they are suppose to do they are suppose to raise chain and thats what they did. clark played a good game but he didnt win the game by his self lets get that right. Probably one of the best games i have watched this year keep it up kcc

well said

well anyways, congrats jbs.
02-16-2007, 04:46 PM
i just had to say one more thing jbs is high and mighty right then why such a big deal that they beat knott central who as some said they are losers and always will be then why are all the jbs fans so happy and glade that they actully beat knott central great game once again to both teams
02-16-2007, 04:54 PM
I dont think any D1 team would want to have a player like stepp on there team. Simply because of his attitude. They want team players. Not head cases.
02-16-2007, 04:55 PM
Well the reason everyone is talking crap is because knott central has always dogged JBS... and now KCC can finally see that JBS has the potential of beating them!!! which they already have twice this season!!! Pretty much.. a county Rival......which will continue for the next couple of years...
02-16-2007, 05:57 PM
like i said it was very nice of knott counties jailer eldon hicks to bring the immates from the jail to the game. Or was that kcc fans??
02-16-2007, 06:16 PM
Yeah we brought the inmates....The only one old enough to go to jail is Clark.

After reading a lot of posts on here, I have only one statement to make. If, and I am saying "if" because I have not seen any of the statements that was said on here in person. But IF Clark is really doing the stuff that he is being accused of doing, such as throwing jerseys, turning his back when he gets beat, not shaking the other teams hands, even using the ole your number one hand signal. If all the college coaches are watching him that it is posted on here are, and if they are really interested, dont he think that would turn them away? If I was a college coach, and the college coaches I personally know, they look at talent as part of the reason for offering a scholarship. The also look to see how the young man will represent his team and school. Appearances mean more to a college coach than they do a high school coach. I can see a problem if all those things are true unless he has already decided to go to ALC then he knows his college playing is safe no matter how he acts. Division 1 schools wont put up with that kind of attitude.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

It was a great game to watch.
JBS and KCC are both really good teams. People can say what they will about Clark, but trust me, he's used to it. It goes on in his own school.
I understand KCC's desire to intimidate JBS and their fans, but some of their chants were a little of the iffy side. Of course we have the classic "Daddy's Boy" and "Mommy's Boy" (The latter is extremly innacurate, but the first may be plausible). I suppose if all the pep club can do is personally attack the player's family, they don't have much of a choice. But the chants went so far as too allude to swear words and vulgar insults, which shows no class, sportsmanship or civility.
It is kind of sad though to think what High School Basketball has come to though. Fans on both sides should grow up.
I am fully aware of JBS's imfamous chant from years past, but the headmaster stepped in and put a stop to it. They no longer engage in that particular chanting, in fact, they don't chant at all.
Further more, if the KCC fans want to accuse Clark of poor sportsmanship, keep in mind he may have only taunted them because of what has been happening to him for the past couple of years. I don't support what Clark did, I'm just saying I understand it. People who say heckling is just part of the game take the idea a little too far. A ball game is no longer enjoyable when it's that personal.
JBS could have easily lost the game. Scott Mosley was probably the MVP of the entire game (despite his many fouls). But the Crusders respond well under pressure and proved that they won't be beaten easily. Trey Short was their saving grace in the 3rd and 4th quarter. He finally got his night to shine. There will be more I'm sure.
Bottom Line,
Both teams played very well and are equally capable of taking the district championship. If JBS agrees to keep Clark under control and KCC promises to make their pep section show a little civility or class, maybe the next game won't give me such an unbearable headache.

i think a lot of people miss understood some of the things that the kcc pep section was saying last night if there was a bad call they were saying push it also moving there hands in that action as if the refs a pushing it or on some calls when there wasnt a foul called and something else where someone got pushed they used it too. A student section though is a part of the game if you dont like that dont go to the game. and its not like kcc was just heckling clark stepp though thats what everyone wants to think they were there for the cordia game and the jenkins game doing the same thing jbs fans are the only one to complain.
02-16-2007, 07:42 PM
Some of my dear friends from KCC told me themselves that they said "push it" because it sounded like "Bull S***" from a distance. A student section is one thing, an angry mob is another.

As for the trophy deal, I don't think that was anything intentional. Last night JBS had won the game and that was all that needed to be done.

Some people just cant stand the fact that Knott is a little better than they thought. They also cant stand the fact that Knott's pep section is pretty good. You see we have a pep section. You have a bunch of whinny parents. We came to your house gave you all more than you can handle and our pep section took over the gym. So it pisses you off. Get over it. You get on here complain about a pep section. A pep section, get real. What are use to watching? UK and their blue haired, golf clapping fans. This is high school and kids will be kids. You think it's bad play Shelby Valley. Now they can get pretty rough. You think it's bad now? Regional tourny will even be worse. It's sad you get on here and down a person (Shelia Stamper). She is the heart and soul of that school. I guess she dosn't bow to JBS like some teachers, so it makes you mad. Do you really think that know one at JBS talks bad about KCC. If you believe they don't then you have problems. Yea maybe she dosn't like JBS. It sounds like the majority of the people in the 14th dont like them either. JBs has the most whinny, complaing, and *****ing fans I have ever heard. And they sad things it's the grown-ups doing it. Lets see who needs to grow-up? KCC students or JBS parents. News flash it's not time for our pep-sectoin to grow-up. Were kids. Your the adults so grow-up.
