Sheldon Clark Football 2007
#31
Didnt everyone beat Sc that year though!? Im pretty sure the only teams they beat were Bourbon Co. and Magoffin!
#32
wait and see........we will kill them by 30
#33
I think SC will compete really good next year. The lost a little on the line, a split end and a few defensive players, but should fare quite well.

The "Saints of Valhala" should have another good year :notworthy

The line will need a little work, but they should defintely have the skill players.
#34
i know one tihng im tired of warriorpride running his mouth about ER. Sheesh. Anyways, they still have Kelly and Dials for backbones of the team and i think they will remain solid. Please dont get caught up int he moment of another win to belfry if it happens next year, that was the downfall of SC this year in my eyes.
#35
They will be tough in class 3A next season. Returning Dials and Kelley, well those two should keep this team in the running for a District Championship next season.
#36
IMO SC should be in the AAA top ten next year. ER on the other hand will be in the bottom five and compete for nothing. although with only five teams in their districy=t they might make the playoffs by winning 2-3 games.

Valhalla (Old Norse Valhöll, "Hall of the slain") is Odin's hall in Norse mythology, located in Gladsheim and is the home for those slain gloriously in battle (known as Einherjar) who are welcomed by Bragi and escorted to Valhalla by the valkyries. The main gate is called Valgrind, which is described in Grímnismál as a "sacred gate", behind which are the "holy doors" and "there are few who can tell the manner by which it is locked". The hall itself has 540 doors, so wide that 800 warriors could walk next to each other, walls made of spears, a roof made of shields and benches covered with breastplates. It is said that there is room enough for all those chosen. Here, every day, the slain warriors who will assist Odin in Ragnarök, the gods' final conflict with the giants, arm themselves for battle and ride forth by the thousands to engage in mock combat on the plains of Asgard. At night, they return to Valhalla to feast on roasted boar and drink intoxicating mead. Those who do not get to Valhalla end up in the home of the dead (Hel), a place beneath the underworld (Niflheim), or one of various other places. Those who are lost at sea, for example, are taken to Ægir's hall at the bottom of the sea.

In addition to the valkyries and the Einherjar, a rooster named Gullinkambi lives there.

In Beowulf, it is called the shining citadel.

Have you even read Beowulf? Explain it to me in your own words instead of going to Wikipedia and using that nice lil "Copy/Paste" move you just did..

You're out of control.

Sheldon Clark will be fine next year

They should be as good if not better next year than they were this year. Maybe.....
#42
I read Beowulf and kinda liked it!

Does SC have any good upcoming middle-schoolers?
#44
they have the 8th graders coming in from the MC cards
#45

Yes, I know that. But I was wondering if any of these players might actually see a little playing time as frosh, because they might be good.
#46
Bump!
#47
The Cards should be one of the best teams in the mountains next season. They have their entire backfield back in Dials, Kelly and Hensley plus they have several players returning. losing Hinkle will hurt but there are several young kids ready to step up and with a three game stretch of Belfry , Bell County and Paintsville they should be ready for November and mae a deep run. Too bad that P'Burg and Shelby Valley decided not to play SC in 07. Go Cards
#48
The cards will do fine. They most definatly need to get a harder schedule this year though to better prepare them for the post season.
#49
The middle school team was the best in the history of Martin County.Future looks bright.Too bad jj jude went to central.
#50
they need a new field lol

ITS A ROCK...LOL

Word is that the Schmidt Saga ended this year, as the last one will graduate.
That's pretty depressing.
No more 300lb studs year-in, year-out.

After seeing your alls middle school team I think the Cardinals best football is just around the corner.Maybe we will see one of those stud Schmidt brothers walking the sidelines coaching the little studs into becoming big studs.
#59
Well we already have the oldest Schmidt helping out. All of them are very nice people as well. They all have big hearts and live for football, they can contribute to the team on and off the field.
