No doubt in my mine. Prestonburg is a tough contender in the district, and they play hard. For the record Sheldon Clark takes every game seirously. They prepare for a battle.

Prestonsburg's awful ??? Who has sheldon clark played that finishes the season with a above .500 win percentage ? Prestonsburg played really good teams(Leslie Co, Pikeville, Paintsville, Ashland) maybe if SC would get a tougher schedule like Pburg and Belfry does then you can brag about your team !

Right because Paintsville(3 wins Betsy Layne,Allen Central and powerhouse Jenkins) has just been pounding people as is Pikeville(2 of 3 wins have come against Allen Central and South Floyd. Lesile County whom recently lost to the ol' Braves from Grant County. So you might want to know a little something about KY football before you state your opinions

It seems as if some of you forget that last years game was an absolute barn burner with SC winning by only 1 point. I know that was last year and this is this year, but Prestonsburg seems to have a better team overall than they did last year. I don't really think that SC is all that great either so I see Prestonsburg winning this by 3-7 points. This definitely won't be a blow out of 2 or more TD's either way.

Cheer your team on and have confidence in them but just because your team has finally put together a few decent seasons dont go below the belt and start bad mouthing programs that have won for many years prior to yours. Ok Bub. So in your mind a "winning season" designates a team for having an above average season? I can only think of maybe 2 seasons that would be classified as "great" in the storied history of SC football. One was the semis defeat to Highlands and the other maybe last year. Im not downing your program in no way shape or form but to quote a few SC followers who have watched more football than you could ever hope to see, "We are trying to build our program up to the point where we are a contender every year for a state championship and nothing else." My point is this, be proud of your team but dont bad mouth or predict unreal scores against teams who have earned the respect deserved through out the years. I would love nothing else than for 3,4 or even 5 area teams having a legitimate shot at a state championship every year and the way JC and SC are turning the corner I expect it too happen sooner than later.

so what you are saying is that prestonsburg should have beat leslie co, pikeville, and ashland. if this is your case. then we might as well say that the blackcats are 06-07 state champs. they will be a 3 or 4 seed in the playoffs, coach isnt that great (imo), the team isnt that good. they played the way they did because someone didnt prepare them the way they should have. they will be lucky to beat sv, putting them at a monstrous 4-6 or even better 5-5.

....ok let's see.........played there ....played college....coached for a while....so let's see i know my shit...but i really don't need to explain my knowledge of the game to you.....i know when my team isn't favored and i know when they are the underdogs....i don't predict stupid outcomes...i just call them as i see em....i never said that p'burg was awful just there performance while opposing a team that had an equally horrible performance...and the reason that they beat paintsville was probably because of more talent........
