"Rain" or some form of the word needs to be in the title, OR rain is a major reference in the song. I'll start. One of my dfavorites. Collins' vocals on this is his best. and, of course his drumming , and Clapton's guitar is sublime. Throw in a large gospel choir, and this song absolutely kicks ass:

I'm a big Gordon Lightfoot fan. Is there a better storyteller in song than Gord? I think not.

From my childhood:
One of my favorite artists from the 70's and 80's covered "Rythym of the Rain." And no one covers like Dan.

Supertramp's "Breakfast in America" album should be in every music lover's library. It's a masterpiece.

For me, this is clearly the king of songs with rain in the title. Surprisingly, Prince’s follow-up song “Yellow Snow” didn’t catch on.
For Kong. I’ve always thought G n R would have been considered the greatest rock band of all time if they could have held it together for about 5-10 more years.

Amen to that. Still my favorite band, I just wish they had 3 or 4 more albums of material from their prime years.

I worked at a local radio station for 10 years, no matter which shift I worked, this would be the last song I always played.
I find out later from my dad that this was my grandma's all-time favorite song, which gave it that much more meaning for me to play it.
