Johnson Central @ Bell County Scrimmage 8/15
#1
I don't think anyone is going to find a scrimmage between two better teams east of I75 this weekend. Wish this was a game on the schedule but I was wondering what everyone was thinking about this one.
#2
JC offense looked solid from what I saw at their last scrimmage...Defense of course needs work
#3
I like when good teams play.
#4
Lawrence vs Prestonsburg right below this one I think.

You got to see JC I believe, what did you think
#6
Their offensive and defensive line are really good, a lot of size on offensive side. Backs run hard and downhill. They still need to work on passing game. Defensively they are solid in the box, need to work on pass coverage on the back end.
#7
I'm a JC fan and I wish them luck but it's not easy for anybody to go up on Log Mountain to the house that Dudley built and come away with a win. Hopefully both teams will come away injury free
#8
Should be an exciting scrimmage to watch.......I don't see Bell co being able to stop JC's offense.
#9
If our defense hasn't improved a lot from last year, I'm afraid JC might have problems with some of the better teams on our schedule.
#10
I agree 100 percent. They have good athletes so not sure why there is always an issue there
#11
Before Coach Peck took over as head coach he was the DC during the championship runs, I've heard it mentioned that he was gonna run the D this year but I don't know just how reliable this info is.
#12
I have also heard that but from the last scrimmage it did not seem that way
#13
If Johnson Central can clean up mistakes on pass coverage. They could really compete for title. Even though there in 4A the toughest class in Kentucky. Their offense and especially the run game is always solid . They always have good OL.

They have GOT to get it together on defense. I honestly believe we are capable of scoring on almost any team in the state but if they haven't cleaned things up from the ground up on defense. GO EAGLES!!
#15
This will be a great scrimmage and should help both teams prepare for the regular season.

Listened to the Coach Peck radio show earlier.  Really liked what I was hearing.  Heard one of the guys talking about hanging tree stands. Hunting and hanging tree stands, that's Ole Kongs type of guys right there  Wink Really pumped up and ready to get the season rolling baby!

I will now quote a absolute legend, philosopher, and a pretty darn good wrestler, The Nature Boy Ric Flair, by saying:

Whooooooooo!!!

Interested in seeing how the Johnson Defense is able to do against a solid rushing attack from the Bobcats.

Will we see more of a balanced attack than what we were given against the Bobcats last week.

These are two top 25 teams that can’t afford to have an injury or it’ll derail them. Not very deep

We're doing good here at the Kong family household.  I do wish the fish were biting a little better, but that's the way August has always been, to hot lol

I try to have fun that really helps me along here in life. Hang in there and if I can ever be of assistance, feel free to let me know.

I need a mess of crappie. If you ever get too many we'll fry them up and I'll fix us some slaw. fries and hush puppies. I'm enjoying talking trash and working on being famous.

I couldn't find it on the radio unless it was already over by the time I tuned in.

I'm also curious how the 2nd half went.

Both teams definitely got some fixin, Bell has a great offensive line that was able to go down the field and score even with the second string skills. JC has the prototype JC running backs that just don’t go down to arm tackles.

Bell and JC made a lot of subs early to see what they had. Like miller barely got any touches, which it’s great to see they can move the ball up the middle not using him 24/7 to get him some breathers. JC didn’t really feed music as much as they will next week.

Overall great scrimmage, wish it was a real game. I think anyone that watched this and hazard knows Bell has 3 unstoppable pieces that i cannot wait to watch all year.
