Hazard vs. Bell County(Scrimmage)
#1
Finally some football action. What’s your thoughts on this one?

I’m looking forward to attending this one. Hoping for a good injury free scrimmage.
#2
We will see how good those LB Attorneys are against Bells Running Attack. Hazard is better though. Win by 3 scores.
#3
When is the scrimmage?

I agree we will see how Hazard stops the run. Hazard did really well last year on this scrimmage doing so. But thes crambling quarterback hurt them, and he found some receivers behind coverage after scrambling.

This scrimmage should push hazard. Bell County only lost 4 seniors. So expect them to be reallly good. If Hazard was to beat a Bell team by 3 scores then I feel really good about Hazards chances at winning 1A this season.

I agree. Like Hazard's pieces but Bell returns alot. I'd say give me Bell by a score or two in a scrimmage enviroment.

The new look bleachers and press box. They still like some finishing touches but I like it.

Nothing I don’t believe. Believe it was an upgrade in the works. But not 100% on that.

This will be a even scrimmage when both varsity sides are playing but I can see Hazard closing the gap and taking the lead once its both teams JV is playing.

It was part of an upgrade along with baseball and softball fields being upgraded.

I expect Hazard to be better in this scrimmage than last year or atleast I hope so. Max had 3 INTs in this last year. Didn’t do well at containing the quarterback scrambling and letting WR get behind you. I expect that to be better this year. Hopefully the run defense is good like last year. But I expect Bell to be better in the running game so it should be a good challenge. So is it Friday yet?

Bell county loses about 350 yards of total offense. Now they lose 2 really important contributors on defense and one guy who was very crucial as a rotational piece. On the other hand Hazard will be replacing 37 TDs from one player, a thousand yd rusher, 3 of 5 leading tacklers. One of those mentioned defensive players individually gave bell issues last year up front on the line. I think it’s pretty impressive if they can lose that much and win by 3 scores.

And I am interested to see how Hazard has improved. I can tell just from this app and facebook that the hype is back and people are pumped which is always a good sign. One season of Chandler was such a change from the year before it was drastic. Bell returns more production than most of the state and probably more than any other team in the mountains other than Belfry. Should be a good preseason litmus test for both teams.

Wymt needs to do a preseason Mountain football game of the week and televise this one.  Smile

Shows one on the NFHS Network whether it works or not.

Its crazy to me how NFHS has taken over so many schools, especially in EKY. I would imagine that the schools would rather have a local radio station that broadcasts it on youtube or facebook (youtube is so much better) that can advertise local businesses.

I believe at Hazard WSGS still does fb live for games and Wymt does when it’s the game of the week. D&D comes every so often and does one too.
