If Boyle comes out of this with only two losses or less they’ll be ready for anything 4A has to offer come November.

I see at least 3-4 teams that could give Boyle trouble, ST X, Ballard, Highlands and possibly Douglas, I’m hearing that the offense should be really good by season’s end and was told last week that this could be Haddix’s best defensive team since he’s been at Boyle, I expect at least a couple of losses in the regular season but I think the chances of Boyle playing for another State Championship is pretty good!

He was someone they could turn to that could take a game over. Driver will have a much bigger role and has been a matchup nightmare during 7 0n 7. If teams put too much emphasis on Driver Boyle has other weapons in Mcpherson, Ray and Drakeford along with several other guys they can go to. What do you think about O-Line and running game?(Yesterday, 12:09 PM)UK1 Wrote:(07-26-2025, 04:57 PM)Jack Lambert Wrote: If Boyle comes out of this with only two losses or less they’ll be ready for anything 4A has to offer come November. What are two most likely losses? I think we see a whole new offense for the Rebels this year. I think the they run the ball a lot this season and lean on their offensive line. In the previous couple seasons, IMO the line was the "weak" spot- not that they were bad, they were just behind the skill positions.... This year, I feel like the o-line will be the strong point for the Rebels and we will see a heavy dose of the run game to open up some play action for Driver and the supporting cast (Drakeford, Mcpherson, Ray, etc.).
Credit to Haddix though, he could have hid under a rock and scheduled some cup cakes, but that is not his style- the schedule is a top 3 schedule in the state. Regardless how the season goes, his kids will be prepared for another deep run and will be a tough out in the playoffs.

I thought with the return of the QB and Driver they may pass more than in the past with not much game experience returning in the backfield. With Bodner, Quisenberry and Brown getting so many carries the last few years the returning backs don't have a lot of experience. They may have some great backs ready to take over though.
