How have the Commodores looked so far this summer?

Going out on a limb to say it’s theirs to lose. They look good.

I heard the same thing from Hazard last year!

How many games or what is Perry County Centrals record at the State Tournament? What 14th region team has the most appearances and wins at the State Tournament?
#6
I think the competition looks like it's going to be close this in the 14th region. No one seems to be way above anyone else. Should be a fun season to watch!

Records at state don't really matter at this point, because no one has had any success at state in over 30 years. It's a lot different to go to state and compete now than it was 50 years ago.

You keep asking that like it matters what's their stats in the 14th region in the last 10 years nobody is talking about state cause no school in the 14th is going to go very far in state not in this day an age and thats a fact the 14th goes in to state as the worst team every year we dont have the population or student body or money like other regions so come off of it lady idk what pcc did to pee in your cereal bowl but whether you wanna admit it or not its gonna be tight between pcc an hazard this year!

Summer ball world champions!!
#9
It's true summer ball don't mean anything really, but Hoskin's teams are always known for improving throughout the season. Preparing for post season is what he does. Looking as good as they did in the summer is a very good sign for PCC.

I’d say they’re honestly no doubt state champions in the waiting. Since they looked absolutely spectacular in summer ball, I really look for Hoskins to be asked to coach the Olympic team and really show them how to get the job done right.
#11
How good would PCC be without Dalton Combs? Don’t know a lot about Hoskins and could really care less. Just not impressed with his coaching ability. About any Joe off the street with decent players can win in this region.
#12
Hoskins is the best coach in the region but they wouldn't have been a contender without Combs transferring.
#13
I think Noble and Honeycutt are both better. Just my opinion. They don’t use bad language much either.

I honestly don’t think he can pack Honeycutts clip board. You all are in trouble if that puts you in contention.

Love when the Breathitt die hards come in yall still mad at hoskins for beating yall year before last when some of the parents was crowing all over that they had a cake walk to state an hoskins an his boys came out an got the job done cause he out coached honeycutt! Honeycutt won this year because he out coached al he kept changing stuff up an got the job done al kept wanting to do his same ol same ol an it bit him in the butt! What did noble accomplish at breathitt he should have went to state at breathitt an didnt Honeycutt came in when breathitt had one of the best teams it had in awhile an soon as they graduated he left hoskins stays an coaches up his kids he dont switch schools when all his talent graduates! I guess we will see how good he coaches at knott!

Let’s ask a better question. How’d Hoskins do against Kyle Moore?

Hoskins coach Football to? If that’s the case, he’s owned Kyle Moore.

Hoskins doesn't coach football moore coached basket after coach king passed away an had arguably one of the best teams breathitt has ever had so there wasn't much coaching required Collins was the biggest kid in the 14th sperry the Bellamy boys who could shoot he had the same team that Noble should have won with Im not trying to take anything from him buy I could have probably coached that team an won an I'm no coach by any means but hoskins stays at the same school even when his best players graduates an he may have a down year but usually in a year or so he has a team that will compete for region an as much as it hurts some of yall he will go down in the books next to big al as one of the best in the 14th

How many state tournament wins does Big Al have? Just curious? Around the state, most people don’t even know who Big Al and Hoskins are. Just saying. Just not ready to build a shrine to worship mediocre coaches like some of you do. Guess they are good coaches for the 14th though.
#21
Hoskins is a hell of a coach. He’s competitive every year no matter his talent level. I’m curious to see Hoskins, Honeycutt and Huff coach against each other this season dealing with new kids and/or in different environments. A lot will be revealed about who can build and bond a team. The talent level is very close so the best coach will have a huge advantage this season.

Hoskins won it in 24 with probably the 4th or 5th most talented team in the region... has won it more than once, not being the favorite. Al and Noble both lost with loaded teams that should have walked out of the region. Last year was more about Austin Sperry being disrespected and going off, along with Al choking. Honeycutt wasn't much of a factor either way.

It’s clear you don’t like Honeycutt. Did he not play your daughter when he was girls coach at knott or are you just a soft commodore fan who doesn’t like being told that someone besides Hoskins can coach? Hoskins has had endless talent bought and paid for. He should’ve won it every year. If you want to say Kyle Moore had the most talent in one particular year, then the same case can be made for Hoskins for his whole tenure at Perry. Boat loads of money has been spent to keep that basketball program relevant. Recruits from all over the east coast brought in. He’s had more recruits than Rhodes did at cordia.

Perry County is the biggest school in the 14th region. Hoskins should have a good team every single year. Well almost every year, there are a few droughts here and there I admit. Not real sure how long he has been there but how many kids has he sent to play college basketball over his tenure. Isn’t that a good example of good quality coach? Has he ever produced or developed any D1/D2 kids? I know some were given to him but has he took any Perry kids and got them into any schools? Same question for Al Holland.

Pretty sure daulton combs has a d2 offer somebody please correct me if I'm wrong an I'm thinking I read where Caudill had some offers not sure on division though but I will check on the hoskins kids that were offered do you count the offers if the kid doesn't go cause if you dont then we cant count sperry cause he committed then decommitted an seems to be not going to college from what I've heard

And didnt Hoskins coach Justin Johnson I guess technically he isnt from hazard he's from inez but hes coached several that play at naia schools which is pretty darned good anytime a kid can get a full scholarship an play they have achieved something an their coach has done his job how many girls an boys does honeycutt an noble have playing college since you think they are so much better then Holland an Hoskins an al in his prime was a good coach times have changed an al is set in stone an either can't or doesn't want to change his style of coaching!

Justin Johnson was made by AAU and Kevin Spurlock. What kids have played NAIA that played for Hoskins? Tobler kid played at ALC recently, Philly kid. Landon Napier was a product of Estill County. Think he’s a at ALC. Don’t know any others playing college ball. Not kids from Perry County. Who played for Holland that’s played College ball?
#27
Noah Caudill played at Alice Lloyd and played well there. I know Trevor Rudy Combs, Daniel Combs and Kent Campbell played for Holland then went on to play at Alice Lloyd.

From The Reformed Sports Project
If you play D1 you're a stud
If you play D2 you're a stud
If you play D3 you're a stud
If you play NAIA you're a stud
If you play at a JUCO you're a stud.
ONLY 7% OF HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES
become college athletes, it doesn't matter
what level you're at. Be proud, BE GRATEFUL!!

Idk if you guys understand the percentage of athletes that play next level... programs ain't producing a bunch of college athletes because a bunch of athletes don't exist.

Thats what I was trying to say its really hard for kids to get college offers to play ball especially after the covid year an transfer portal I've heard parents say d1 or bust if my grandson is fortunate enough to play college ball idc what division it is long as its paid for!
