Amazingly three Knott players transferred from Knott to hazard when hazard didnt really have a coach. You think they might have known about the KHSAA rule that says you can’t follow of coach

Truly happy this has been laid to rest.

Congrats Coach Huff! Looking forward to seeing how his identity spreads to this Bulldog team when they play this season.

I think it will be a good fit for both of them. Of course only time will tell.

Is Caudill staying at hazard? Will be a huge part in their success next season if the top player in the region stays for his senior year, but Casey will do a good job at hazard. Good coach that knows the game, I think it will be a good fit as well for both.

Seth Caudill, Tucker Johnson, and Trace Kincaid are all staying at Hazard. I am looking For Dalton Combs to end up back at Perry for the sole reason he doesn't want to share time and shots with Caudill. Add in Osborne from Knott with the Johnson kid who is great role player and glue guy, Kincaid who can shoot and defend, and Caudill for my money will be best player in the region, and Hazard is right back as regional favorites. Only time will tell! But if you are Casey Huff you should be thankful for being handed the keys to a program like Hazard and regional favorite. A lot of pressure though

Good luck to everybody. With that being said I have lost all respect for hazard on how they handled this, I think it is more the AD to sleezy things like delaying an announcement for a week so that kids could enrool before a coach was named, which ment you hired a coach for kids. I go back to COach Holland taking the job at Hazard in 2007, he took the job and hazard annouced it and things were done the right way, a few months later the whitaker boy showed up and it was all done the right way. Hazard didnt look classless at all in that situation. In this situation Hazard and their administration looks like the biggest group of trash around. And i say that because the boys from KCC arent adults yet they have know idead what happened, when they get older they will realize they were pawns in adult games. And thats said. So to me its a house of cards at Hazard, I look for kids to move out because if you will do what they have done in the past 2 weeks you will do anything. Big Al was a much classier individual than to be associated with things like that, Glad he was able to get out. Ill say from now on that hazard needs to get rid of Browning, I dont know what happened in Perry Co but he needs to be shipped out of Hazard.

My question is who is going to sit the bench now because the three players from Knott are going to start.
05-16-2025, 07:34 PM
There is only 2 players from Knott who play basketball.
I’d say it comes down to Johnson or Kincaid
Then Fullwood, Combs this delays their development

Will hazard have 15 assistant coaches as in years past?

Huff will do a great job at Hazard. He should be one of the favorites to win the 14th this coming season with a senior loaded roster if he can keep the players there. I’m hearing some of the players could transfer out of Hazard from last years roster. If he’s gonna win, he better win it this coming year. Year 2 will look totally different for Huff as he could possibly be losing 6 of his top 7 players.

I am hearing that the Combs kid is having second thoughts about transferring. Has been at practice with coach Huff and new staff last few days and seems to be in good spirits. I would not be suprised if Hazard returns all their players from last years team besides the seniors of course.

If I was DC, I’d stay put. Will be the Year of the Dawgs if he does.

Year of the Dawgs for the past 4 years and haven’t got anything to show… when will the over hype of Hazard end?

Sperry has been the best player in this region for the last 3 years. That makes a difference when you have the best player. People who say when is the Hazard hype train gonna end are 100% in the right to say that. But this year will be different. Not only will they have the best team but they will have the best PLAYER.. Seth Caudill will be the best player in the region. With the guys he has around him in combs, johnson, osborne, and others I dont see anyone touching them.

That introductory press conference someone sent me is probably the most cringeworthy thing I’ve seen in high school sports in this area.

The thought of playing in Seth Caudills shadow was probably a major factor. I just hate seeing a good player transfer from a great team because of egos. A lot of these players these days would rather rack up individual stats than win ball games as a team. Perfect example here. Hazard will be just fine without Combs but I wish him well. He is a great kid. I think his dad had a lot of influence on him leaving.
