Last I heard was the field was going to be regulation width and 80 yards long. Will be one of the nicest facilities in the state. On the down side they will be without a permanent field house for 18 months.gonna have to use old baseball field house until then. Have heard this is phase 1 I think they gonna upgrade the stands next but I don’t know when that will happen.

I don't believe bleachers are a part of the current project, but they will need to be updated soon. The full scope of this project is the new field house, new dugouts at the soccer field and softball field, a full renovation of Meece, and a new auditorium at Meece. Two year project from my understanding. Someone closer to the school could probably provide more info, I just saw the pre-bid info and that's what I remembered.

I guess the way I said that was confusing I know that the bleachers are not included in this project but I have heard that it is in the works down the road after this is complete I have heard they are throwing around the idea of swapping sides of the field for home and away bleachers. That would be nice sinc the visitor side is never in the sun and it is horrible earlier in the season withe the sun. I don’t know if it will happen but I hop it does.

Yeah the bleachers at Clark have been due for an upgrade for a while. Not dangerous, but definitely showing their age. I hope if they do update them though that they keep close to the same capacity. Also, the current bleachers are too far from the field. They could have the walk way be under the bleachers and move them up about 10 feet or so to make for a better experience.

With all of the updates going on at all of the schools in Pulaski County, I think it would be the perfect time to put together a premier bowl weekend similar to the PCB. The Somerset area is a great midway point for the power schools from the East and West. Could be a good spot to host some big early season matchups.

Bidding was due beginning of April so I’d assume the money is allocated. Construction was set to begin as soon as school is out.

Big time move!

Great way to separate yourself … should make a small independent school very attractive in a football hot bed!

I think the ideal situation for a bowl game would be sometime like the Pike County Bowl as you mentioned. I would have all 3 local schools pay an out of country opponent. If you want to make it a Friday/Saturday event bring in 5 other teams and have a doubleheader each night.  That way they can still do a home and home with the county school that they are playing in that cycle.  It would be a big gate to split, and give both county schools basically a hike out of district game.
