Martin Co 53 Lyon Co 72
#1
This was the worst officiated game of the season by far. Not even close. The All A should be ashamed of the officiating for this game. They have taken one of their starters out now he can’t play for the next two games. Shameful!

Still proud of my cardinals and we are still on the Road to Rupp

Who got tossed?  What was wrong with the stripes?

Lyon Co obviously isn't the same w/o Perry, Redick, and Shoulders but they still had a great core of sophomore players from the State Champion team, so they still have a very good team. They'll for sure want to avenge last season's loss in the ALL A State Championship game to Newport.

As for Martin Co, I didn't get to watch so idk what kind of game this was, but figured they would give Lyon a better game than this, but now just regroup and focus as district play will be ramping up here soon.

I'm also curious as to which starter got ejected.

Looking at the box score looks like Davis received two technical fouls.

Curious as to why thoughts were officiating was so terrible. Game called to close? To physical?

Honestly the officials let both teams play. Several times where fouls should have been called, nothing called and at times a lot of fouls for little touchy stuff. Game did change when one official went down with injury and alternate stepped in. Felt like calls changed for better then. Just didn’t play great first half

Martin County just played horrible. Just face it. it took James the whole game to realize that what Lyon County weakness was. by then, it was way too late. Another tip for the Cardinals: When you are down by 20, put the ball in the goal instead of trying to make a highlight reel.

Can we watch this online?

After taking some time to reflect on what I watched today, Martin county simply looked scared and unprepared in the first half. Second half is a different story as they came out of the locker room and fought. I believe they cut the score to 6 or 7 at a point in the game before running out of gas. I don’t know  what factors may have resulted in this, but I do know that after watching that second half that the 15th region should be worried.

Also as far as an ejection, I didn’t see anything online while I was watching but could have easily missed something amongst the barrage of fouls.

looking at the box score, looks like a rough game from martin , 5/27 from 3 , 21/26 overall , cant really blame it all on the refs there, not sure if this stat really counts but no one had a postive +/- either .

Martin County ran into a team that can match them athletically it sounded like. Lyon county has been playing hard teams the past few years with Perry trying to get exposure so they aren’t scared of a good athletic team and don’t get shocked by athletes at every position.
