Well, he\she has the right to post that. It is not breaking any rules and it's their opinion. You sure give your opinion alot, so chill out when someone else gives theirs.

You dont lose respect for a team just because they were tryin to get a point across!

If I were a coach, I would want to schedule the best early on so it will prepare you for the playoffs when you have to play much tougher competition.
For example, In the first two weeks of the season Belfry has played the defending Class A State Champion Newport Central Catholic and Class AAA powerhouse Ashland....that kind of scheduling will help Belfry later on down the road when the wins and losses really matter in the playoffs.
I can answer that for ya Belfry Pride.....because Saunders droped then picked up different teams they thought they could beat and he tried to forfiet to a Va school that went 2-8 last year{cant figure that} I guess he wanted to play his mandatory district games then Phelps every friday night thereafter till the season was up..First year coach he really wants toi mpress people, which he has but the impression he"s made is less than cordial...

I don't know BP, maybe we should ask Belfry's baseball team/coach who played 11 games vs. West Virginia competition this year. Seems like a pattern.

I am not trying to take anything away from Phelps. But it seems to me if you want to get a point across you do it against teams that are year in and year out of your league in both talent and tradition. Shelby Valley wants to get a point across? That is simple to do. They beat Belfry by 30 points, Prestonsburg by 30.... not on the schools that are 1/4 your size. Go after the year in and year out powerhouses to make a point.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It is the size of the fight in the dog.

Last time SV played Belfry on the grass field at Belfry you all were up 50 to 0 and was spreading out in shot gun throwing the ball. Man that is class! No coach has to do anything to make you all happy. Bottom line, SV doesnt have enough players to sub a full squad in and out. The kicker couldn't get a kick off on three attempts. It was also the first game and I am sure the coach was wanting live practice. Get over the Phelps game. SV has a coach that knows football, and SV is headed in the right direction. Get over it and move on. SV has played powers like Grundy, LC Bulldogs, and Breathitt. It didn't work, so you cannot blame him for wanting to do something different.

That is why you should NEVER mention Belfry Football and Belfry Baseball in the same sentence.

and how many more games do you play a season in baseball than you do in football? the last time I recalled A LOT. Belfry baseball plays powerhouses too. WV baseball is good, they have some awesome teams and we played some better teams from WV and yes some were weak, but this isn't about baseball it's football.
Oh yeah, hootie have you not realized we are like the worst passing team ever. We never pass maybe thats why we was doing it in your game to get some practice on our passing because we NEVER do. I think everyone knows that.

Simple math my friend. Shelby Valley is playing 2 teams from WV in a 10 game season accounting for 20% of their games VS. WV competition.
Belfry played 11 of 30 regular season games VS. WV competition accounting for 36% of their games VS. WV competition.
Sorry to stray off topic again but it's not that hard to see that point I was trying to get across.

Back to the subject fo rme guys, i was at the game if u enjoy alot of offense then u missed a good game. Defense however never showed up. Both sides seem to struggle with the D. Both teams was pretty basic with there playcalling, no secret what each was trying to do.

I would like to welcome Mr. Saunders and the great new football attitude at Shelby Valley. the team is very small in numbers and very big at heart. As for respect and to many points on the board , you can only play the twenty- three players you brought the fans aren't eligible.

The McCoy kid had a great game....I think he had over 400 yards rushing...not to mention he had two 90+yard, a 20+yard run, and a kick return called back on penalties.

Paul McCoy, Matewan's running back ran for over 500 yards and had 6 touchdowns. And Matewan had another running back, Garret Epling, who ran for another 120 some yards.....translation....NO DEFENSE!!!!!!!!

Before everyone gets to excited MATEWAN is a class A school. I know #22 Paul McCoy is the real deal. 537 yds rushing to set a new record for single game in WV.
No there was no "other" rb hurt. Matewan is a good program in WV and is on their way to another state chapionship. Good luck to both team's.

IF They stop Belfry, I'll proclaim to the world that they have a great defense.

SV does have a good defense but they would have to step it up when they play Belfry
