Why are teams like Johnson Central, Pikeville, and Floyd Central not doing better? I thought for sure they’d be better than they are playing.

I can't speak for JC or Pikeville, haven't seen them play yet this season, but I've seen FC play several times. They got a nice win on the road last night at Powell Co, but they've been dealing with a lot of in-house issues that have caused this team to not entirely unravel, but it's been pretty loose at the seams so to speak, plus having Spriggs out with an injury has really hindered their productivity on the court. He is the main & only ballhandler for this team, and they struggle without him out there. He was out with a hamstring when the season started, came back and the team was starting to gel some, then he reaggravated that hamstring, and things haven't been the same since. I seen in another thread about FC that Spriggs may be back for the district game against Lawrence tomorrow.
That's about all I got on FC, maybe some others can give us some input on JC & Pikeville.

Fc issue is about sprigs. Hard to judge them to he is back. He’s there best player and makes them go. We did look very good last night. Powell is solid and I thought we played very well. Boyd was on fire

I need someone to fill me in.

I’m JC seems to have came into the season u prepared. Just based on watching a couple games and their lack of conditioning. Defense is also struggling. Might be totally off but that’s what it looks like. Also postponing two games now seems like they weren’t ready. Because it’s not a lack of talent.

In my humble opinion….
1. Floyd is missing their best player
2. Johnson Central might be a little less prepared early in the season because they are a football school. They will be scary later on i think.
3. Pikeville doesn’t seem to gel well. I wonder how much control and what kind of rapport their coach has with players.
