Johnson was elected House Speaker in the first round of voting, most likely because President-elect Trump campaigned on his behalf. Massie strongly supports a conservative agenda.

Why not? You have become too accustomed to an incompetent, absentee president. Trump is not going to undermine Johnson as long as he is effectively moving Trump's agenda through the House.

House conservatives will determine if Johnson remains Speaker. The GOP is a big tent party. House members are not controlled by party oligarchs like the Democrats are. If Johnson doesn't keep conservatives happy, Trump won't be able to save him.
