Jeremy Hall has won 1 playoff game in 14 seasons in 1A/2A. Hoskins never had a winning season at Paintsville. The hire needs to be someone the kids already know and respect and can get behind... doesn't help when that community only cares about 1 ball and its not football!!

You can't drink champagne on a beer budget.   I don't think anyone from Boyle Co is interested.  Why would they be? Nothing against Floyd Central, but Floyd Co in general is not an easy place to build a winning program. IMO, Jeremy is about a good a coach as they're going to get.    For all I know, Jeremy may not even be interested.  I think he would be the perfect fit, though.

Who is Justin Triplett? I’ve never heard of him.

He was the girls basketball coach at South Floyd, then Floyd Central. He's currently an assistant for the boys basketball team at Floyd Central and I believe he is coaching football at the elementary/middle school level possibly.

Did not see JR on the sideline for FC during the Prestonsburg game. And Josh will have a much bigger impact on a wrestling team than JR did but that’s just my personal opinion!!!

Scottie is another one I heard, the only problem is him and Hagar argued a lot last year on the sidelines. Triplet may not have the coaching experience Scottie does but he is well like among the staff at the school. Plus honestly if Floyd Central wanted to actually win they hire jarred Jarrell who turn around a Betsy Layne program that was almost completely nothing or someone out of county.

Maybe Justin Triplet is a good fit for Floyd Central Program. His son is coming up and he’s a football player also in the school system which is a + and he knows the kids and game I think they should take a good look at the application Justin Triplet has sent in to be the football coach of the jags.

That's a big jump from elementary/middle school to High school. I would think you would want to get your feet wet as an assistant, before jumping straight to a head coaching job. If any kid is serious about playing football at Floyd Central, they better be heading North on route 80 to Prestonsburg. That's just my two cents!

People in Paintsville expect to win big football games. People on Left Beaver expect to win big basketball games. Simple as that. If they hire Hoskins and he goes 5-5 every year then I don’t think they will bat an eye at it. I still am not sure exactly how much Hoskins was aware of the problems he would have at Paintsville when he took the job vs how much he was actually a cause of the implosion there, but either way Paintsville was a bad fit for him. I think he is a decent coach, but filling a coach like Chiroco’s shoes is an unenviable task in the best of circumstances. FC would probably be a better fit for him and honestly might be the biggest name that a program like FC can draw at the moment.
