Saturday December 14 deer muzzleloader season comes in.
The Dec muzzleloader season is set up to try and come in during the second rut period.
Hunting with a muzzleloader is one of my favorite ways to deer hunt. I took my first couple of deer with a muzzleloader, years back.
Snow on the ground at the moment, I'd love to go hunting right now! It should probably be melted come this weekend. Last I checked the weather, it might rain some the first few days of season. With temperatures making their way back into the 50s. Which I'm sure the weather will likely change, by the time we get to that point!
Good Luck and Be Safe

I'm not a muzzleloader guy myself. I'm back to my compound bow to try and put a little meat in the deep freeze to end the season.

I might try to get another doe during muzzleloader season. Have it made into mostly sausage this time. The other two I got during rifle season, was mostly made into burger. We use that deer burger for a lot of stuff.

I've never been big on the sausage type meat. But everyone around me absolutely loves it.

Its good, just not my favorite kind of breakfast sausage. I'd rather have the burger over the breakfast sausage.(12-12-2024, 01:58 PM)King Kong Wrote:(12-12-2024, 11:48 AM)Spud6 Wrote: I'm not a muzzleloader guy myself.
