I like Q. I'll start with the punt return for example against North Hardin in 2022. It was jaw dropping to see how 7 tacklers missed him and he scores. Then I'll add the touchdown passes from the running position. As well as the countless touches that he turns into a touchdown. He is the definition of a Mr. Football in my opinion. The opposing team has to gameplan around him. When I have seen him, he is the same every game. Electric. To me one of the best performances to put it in perspective came against Corbin last season when he broke the runs to score against 2 ESPN TOP 150 Defensive Players. To me, its not one game. Q in every game and is a difference maker. Im a fan of all these young men. I have never seen a Q. The best I have witnessed in Person. Then, he just humbly plays the game at a level that cant go unnoticed.

Corbin would have two state titles were it not for Q. ( '22 , '23) As far as last year's game, he virtually single handedly carried Boyle to victory over the Hounds.

Montavin should win it. However the best player in the state is hands down MARTELS CARTER JR.

A lot of great players on this list, and probably already a favorite.
But I'd like to hear from anyone what makes each of these individuals "special"
Any specific stats they stood out on?
What is an intangible quality they possess that makes them stand out?

Rushing- 79 carries for 882 yards and 12 touchdowns
Receiving- 49 catches for 794 yards and 12 touchdowns
Passing- 5-7 for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns.
This kid is definitely most deserving of the Mr Football award.

Tilghman. Safety is his listed position for recruiting, but more of a do-it-all guy for PT. Rivals has him the #1 player in the state, #87 player nationally, and #6 Safety in the country. 247 has him #2 in the state behind Campbell for Western Hills, and #23 Safety in the country. Committed to UK.

He should be NUMBER ONE!! Franklin County played WH campbell for two years, and he never made a tackle vs us, this year got drove 10 yds a play by a 190 lb kid... Needless to say Carter... had a much bigger impact on the Flyers. IMO better than Quisenberry, But did not play for Boyle.

Recruiting rankings have to be taken with a grain of salt. Last year you had Cutter Boley as the consensus #1 QB prospect in the state, but as a high school QB he was arguably just the 3rd or 4th best QB in 2A. The recruiting services are weighing the intangibles almost as much if not more than the actual product on the field.

Give me Brendan Anthony out of Pikeville, no one better in the state at his position.

maybe you are the idiot? It was actually a compliment to a program you seem mighty vested in??? My point is he is playing for the states top team the last 4 years.. or whenever he got there.. He has been on a team that he was the most talented player in all of those years on the team.. and they been winning. The name on the front for sure matters...... in years where there is comparable stats and talent...

All of the nominees are well suited, several more players should be listed IMO such as the Carter kid, Elam, and the JC running back.
Never watched Q in person but I believe what ole Bull says about him, so he gets my vote.
Plus I think a kid that talented on one side of the ball, but is needed to play both sides of the ball for the team; those are the players that win it in my book.
I know the Atwell kid plays both ways too, and probably a few more on that list, so hats off!

I do think in the Voting, Q will win hands down. The national ranking, and Boyles weekly schedule to me is the edge he needed.. along with a body of work over several years....... only reason we are even mentioning anyone else, Is that Boyle had a hiccup... if they go on to play in finals he probably has a big night and wins over even more people....

I agree with this for sure. Wouldn't even be a discussion had he won his 4th ring this year but he didn't so it leaves things to be desired but he is Mr. Football and is committed to Kentucky which always seems to help as well.
