Nevertheless in 6A. 2018?? Every year the SC hype train gets derailed about mid year and it never gets old. Some of the best facilities in the state with nothing to show for it anytime soon.
Well when you get sister districted with the best of the best, and had to deal with Douglass until last season things are a bit more difficult than playing Meade, DuPont and Barren to get to semis lmafo. Scott county would gladly trade cooper for DuPont!
SC has one of the brighter futures in KY this frosh class can win 5A, or 6A when the time comes!
Manual would beat Scott like a rented mule just like Great Crossing did this year. All we heard was how this was Scott County’s year, a 5A favorite this year. 6-6 with an embarassing loss to Lex Cath. Where does Scott County go from here?
Scott Co. was resting players Lex cath game and lost on a failed QB sneak in OT. No one was upset we lost in the SC world
Manual has never been good against SC I’d have much more confidence playing them over Cooper who beat GC down much worse than they got us and we were at 50% strength lmao.
SC played a tough schedule and didn’t win a few games they should have is what it is onto the next season!
No one was upset over losing to 3A Lex Cath?? You rested starters but Timmy had 11 touches and Buddy led the team in tackles? You’re going to have to figure out what you’re talking about eventually. Khsaa is free you can get on there and look up stats you know.
Without Ali for half the game, Damron, C-rod I thought we looked fine especially not just using Buddy Collins all game on offense to win. We didn’t start using him until the last drive of the game on O and he dominated! Lex cath has McKee’s number and always seems to beat us. not sure why but they find ways to win!
Are you a GC fan? Or just someone who dislikes SC

Transfer portal. I mean every program does it, Douglass, Corbin, LCA etc etc, so from here and for any program, got to dip into the portal.

The emergence of Great Crossing exposed Mckee as a really good, but not. great coach; guess it is not as easy to win games when you don't have 200 kids in your program in grades 9 - 12.
I remember Scott County playing Lex Cath at the freshmen level one year. Catholic might have had 20 freshmen players on their sideline while Scott County would have kids standing 2 or 3 deep between the 30 yard lines. It was comical.
I remember one year, Scott County played OL at WR at the end of the game just to make sure everyone got in.

Scott county had always took advantage of having one school. The boys would be running Wing-T from the time they could walk to the time they were old enough to play for McKee. These days kids have an option to play the Wing T and win games for a prestigious program, or play spread with the new kids on the block, and some kids want to be a receiver, not the 2nd team running back.
Theres nothing long term worrying for Scott county they have the much better players at the frosh/JV level but there will be one more season where GC has an edge as SC is losing an incredible class of guys who could of won it all if they stayed healthy, while GC is bringing back most of their talented players and taking in a few wanderers from SC.
McKee knows he’s in for a more than likely rough season next year, but after that the team should be a top 10 team in KY assuming nothing crazy happens.

Boyle was the best team in 4A, hands down. As far as I'm concerned, they get the title. Mythical , yes, but I am awarding the 4A title to the team that was CLEARLY three or four scores better than anyone else--The Boyle County Rebels. There should be an asterisk next to either Paducah Tilghman Blue Sky or Franklin County's name, after next week's game. Tilghman will NOT be my champion.

We could do that for every year Trinity didn’t win 6A in the late 2000’s and early 2010’s as well. Sometimes the better team lays an egg! One of the many beautiful things about football. Franklin vs Paducah is a much more entertaining matchup than having to watch Boyle once again in the state final. It’s a good thing for 4A football they choked, as harsh as it sounds.

Both will be nice players on the field and on the court..... But during their time at Boyle, the drama their parents created was much greater than the production of the kids on the stat sheet.
Regardless, I wish them nothing but the best moving forward.

Your team will still choke. Second best team in the city right now. Has to be tough knowing that.
GC will have another year of success but then it’s right back to usual. Their JV team is no good, and their frosh forfeited to Scott county who had the first, or second best frosh team in Kentucky.
After all the years of dominance in KY by SC it’s nice to have little brother feel success for some time even if it’s limited!

went 10-1. They split with Boyle who had the other elite frosh team. 37-12 final for SC in game one 14-12 final for Boyle in game 2.

is there anything to these kids leaving or is it completely other sport related?

The player that plays other sports, go to play that sport. The other player gets a few weeks off, then hit the weight room.

Heard today that Boyle CO-DC Nick Mills will be meeting with the Corbin staff within the next week. Would not be surprised if this rumor is true given that Mills played football at Corbin himself and still has family that live in east side of Whitley Co.
