It's great that children like cheerleading and join the cheerleading team. As parents, we need to support and help them grow, so I will provide some references based on my personal experience. First of all, parents are their children's best friends. Parents' trust in their children can give their children the greatest confidence. We need to give children positive encouragement and affirmation frequently, so that they can feel your support and pride. In addition, in order to build their confidence, they need to participate in more competitions and training, stay with children as much as possible, and cheer for them. Believe me, after participating in more competitions, children's mentality and self-confidence will become great. Then as parents, we need to do more things in normal times. First, we need to match children with a reasonable and healthy diet to ensure that children get enough nutrition to support physical growth and the energy needed for exercise. In addition, we need to teach children time management and know how to arrange their own time. This is a lifelong ability. We also need to monitor children's health regularly, especially after high-intensity training and competitions, to ensure that they get enough rest and recovery. Let children understand the importance of physical maintenance and self-discipline. Of course, another point is that financial support is indispensable, especially for children who want to participate in the All-Star Game. This is a very expensive thing. The cost of an All-Star cheerleading kid is more than 10,000 US dollars a year . Training equipment, shoes, clothing, transportation and accommodation costs, as well as parents' own tickets, all require certain financial support. So this requires us to know how to save money, such as buying some more cost-effective products. You can learn Where to buy cheerleading shoes, making transportation and accommodation arrangements in advance, etc.
In these ways, you can become an important supporter of your child's cheerleading journey and help them succeed and grow in this sport.

@frankjong this is all the truth! My stepdaughter is a sophomore and cheers. It is very demanding physically & mentally, which sometimes can be more taxing than the physical aspect of it all. My wife is the treasurer of the boosters for their team, and it's an everyday fight with parents over fundraising, getting any sort of donations they can, especially since they got the bid for Nationals at Disney in February.
As stressful as it can be, late night practices, traveling for competitions, drama and everything else that goes along with it, I've truly seen my daughter grow in so many ways, like I said she's only a sophomore, but she's learned the value of leadership, discipline, and teamwork which are all very important going through life. She truly enjoys it, and most importantly she has fun doing it. Shoutout to all the cheerleaders, coaches, boosters, and parents who do everything they can to go above & beyond to help keep this sport growing!

Yes, the spotlight on the competition stage is always turned off after the competition. But the spotlight of their lives begins to light up.
