Where Does Boyle Go From Here?
#61
I mean after only being able to win 4 consecutive 4A championships, and not 5, they should probably either:
1) Drop out of district play
2) Disband football altogether

This was obviously a program crippling loss.

You Say 1 Jokingly But I would Argue Dropping out of District Play Might Help Boyle, I think Boyle Is in One Of The Worst Districts In the State And Their Results In District Games Shows

Their neck of the woods is a very sad part of 4A. Maybe in a couple years they’ll get moved to official 4A, which they then can optionally play up in 5A with bowling green and cooper as the main, and probably only threats considering South Warren, highlands, and Scott county will all be gone.

If they go anywhere Id say they will end up going to another state championship next year.

So it was like two private schools playing anyway. But again i could be misunderstanding some of the comments. And I would assume with Corbin still playing while Haddix is at home this weekend makes it all a little more confusing.

Sure- Boyle could win games with their own truly home grown kids.  But they would not win at the level they currently do without all the talent they “attract”; recruit; or whatever you want to call it from other schools.

I watched them play Corbin last year.  They absolutely do NOT beat the Best Team that Tim Short could buy without talent from other places.

To be fair, a LOT of schools do it.  The KHSAA ignores it.  Boyle has a great school system, academically.  Finally, their kids work their tails off- showing up at 5:30 am every morning to work out and train.

This thread is silly; if it was meant to imply a major shake up is necessary at Boyle.  Keep working hard; keep recruiting; more titles will come.

Show me a football program nowadays that doesn't “attract; recruit; or whatever you want to call it from other schools", and I'll show you a.......well, basketball, or baseball school.

I don’t know one. That’s why my post said-“ a lot of schools do it”.

I'm not disagreeing with you, it is what it is nowadays whether we like it or not. As a Boyle fan, I love the talent that has come our way, and those boys earn it when they hit the doors at Boyle, but I grew up in a different time, when we knew every football studs name from elementary school up, and that's including surrounding districts players too.

Boyle Co improvement plan

1. Build new dorms near campus
2. Wait

I am Hearing Boyle Will add Bullit East, ST.X And Bowling Green To their Schedule Next Season

I don’t think scheduling is the issue. They played Douglass, Saint Edwards, Scott county, LCA, Station, Lex cath. That is some great non district competition. Bullitt East and X both seem to be heading downward but BG will be a great opponent!

I’d expect BG to win next season they will be a great team per usual!

Back in the win column. Things are going to be fine for the rebels.

One fan said it best, did you think Boyle would never lose again? Their fans know what they got. Even if the talent tree was bare, which I doubt, haddix will attract others to move there. That’s what happens when you have a great tradition, good coach with connections to colleges, from what I can see, fan and school support, sometimes you just get beat. Teams come in hungry with a good game plan. We see it every week on some level. BC will be fine. Even if they go a year or two without a title, they won’t 4 straight!! I think this will give them a good reset and they will work harder in the off season ready to lay it on some next year.

well looks like they’re stuck with what they got then. Paducah, Franklin Corbin and cov cath will give them issues for years to come and obviously can’t forget highlands!

Highlands is a 5A school, Bub.

I’m a Highlands fan. But Boyle is a great program. They should just keep doing what has made them what they are.

Your team will still choke. Second best team in the city right now. Has to be tough knowing that.

GC will have another year of success but then it’s right back to usual. Their JV team is no good, and their frosh forfeited to Scott county who had the first, or second best frosh team in Kentucky.

After all the years of dominance in KY by SC it’s nice to have little brother feel success for some time even if it’s limited!

If you’re referring to Haddix going to West Virginia to be Brown’s OC, to the best of my knowledge Neal has always been his own OC and from what I’m reading it’s probably going to be his last year at West Virginia.

When’s the last time Scott county was playing on Thanksgiving weekend? Nevertheless in 6A. 2018?? Every year the SC hype train gets derailed about mid year and it never gets old. Some of the best facilities in the state with nothing to show for it anytime soon.

Well when you get sister districted with the best of the best, and had to deal with Douglass until last season things are a bit more difficult than playing Meade, DuPont and Barren to get to semis lmafo. Scott county would gladly trade cooper for DuPont!

SC has one of the brighter futures in KY this frosh class can win 5A, or 6A when the time comes!

Manual would beat Scott like a rented mule just like Great Crossing did this year. All we heard was how this was Scott County’s year, a 5A favorite this year. 6-6 with an embarassing loss to Lex Cath. Where does Scott County go from here?

Scott Co. was resting players Lex cath game and lost on a failed QB sneak in OT. No one was upset we lost in the SC world

Manual has never been good against SC I’d have much more confidence playing them over Cooper who beat GC down much worse than they got us and we were at 50% strength lmao.

SC played a tough schedule and didn’t win a few games they should of is what it is onto the next season!

No one was upset over losing to 3A Lex Cath?? You rested starters but Timmy had 11 touches and Buddy led the team in tackles? You’re going to have to figure out what you’re talking about eventually. Khsaa is free you can get on there and look up stats you know.
