Still mind blowing that a top 15 team in America isnt #1 in the Kentucky 4A RPI

Not that I disagree.. But these national ranking are a bunch of Hocus Pocus.. You really believe that there are only 14 team in the entire country that can beat Boyle?

I know that they dominated the (at the time) #12th ranked team in America on their home field. Its more realistic than you think.

St. Edward has a 5-5 record. I think that Boyle deserves the #1 rank in Kentucky, but I doubt very much that they are a top 25 team nationally.

You would think the KHSAA would want to fix RPI after last year.  Missed a HUGE gate with a Corbin / Boyle Championship.  Worked in Boyle's favor as they got to host the 2nd. best team in 4a last year.

An absolutely humongous gate. KHSAA is dumb!

This is what I want to see around midnight tonight. Im going to say Boyle and Corbin both makes a few moves.

Corbin game with Pulaski is showing this: Nov 1, '24 Pulaski County 5A 8 6 - 3 .56406
Ashland game with Simon Kenton is showing this: Simon Kenton 6A 6 4 - 5 .52766

That is a .0364 difference between projected RPI.  Right Now, They are .00465 separating them currently. Should be real interesting.

If Boyle wins tonight and everyone wins.

Possibilities                     also Possibilities

1. Boyle                          1. Franklin County
2. Franklin County           2. Boyle
3. Paducah Tilghman       3. Paducah Tilghman
4. Corbin /Ashland           4. Corbin/Ashland

Now, I could be wrong as I haven't done any real math. Just a quick glance. So this isn't written in stone, just a guess as to what could end up being. Now either way, Corbin and Ashland are to see who gets home field in Round 3 if it plays out and no upsets. So whomever is ahead after all the games are tallied tonight will be who gets home field advantage. But down the road, this will be interesting. Round 4 matchups will be interesting.  Smile

Assuming wins, I think the top 3 in the RPI end up after tonight as:

1. Boyle
2. Franklin
3. Paducah Tilghman

I'm not sure after that, but obviously it's either going to be Corbin or Ashland.

Looks like it ended up:

1. Boyle
2. Franklin Co
3. Paducah Tilghman
4. Corbin
5. Ashland

Yep, Corbin leaped Ashland by a pretty good amount, due to Corbin's OWP(Opponents Winning Percentage) being better. Ashland will come to Campbell Field on 11/22.

Bull, would you free up some space in your inbox so I can ask you a question? Thanks, sir.
