You have to give the Old Guy credit for promising everything to everyone going down the stretch run as it may just get him across the finish line first. It doesn't matter that it would bankrupt the Social Security system in 5-6 years and add trillions to the deficit because no rational Congress or Senate would pass the legislation anyway.
Could you imagine the chaos it would create in payroll departments across the country trying to implement these changes and all of the software expense and headaches involved.

Hope that worn, faux-leather chair you downgraded to from the water-cooled one, came from WalMart, the world's biggest China importer. They can stand to pay 20-40-60% tariffs and only raise prices 4-6 % and consumers say nothing but "the price of milk is so high."

Do none of you lefties watch Kamala's interviews? She is clueless on all subjects, regardless of whether the interviewer is tough, or tossing her softball questions. Did any of you watch her trainwreck Townhall meeting on CNN last night? I get the feeling that you all decided how you were voting on the day you registered as Democrats and see no need to read beyond the headlines on MSNBC.

Listen to yourself, or maybe quit listening to one sided views on talk radio/TV and diversify yourself a little. Listening to the pundits on only one side of the political spectrum will obviously keep you narrow minded.
You state that Trump should get a Mulligan for the Pandemic, but Biden doesn't. Also, Trump inherited a very strong economy, which you could say he squandered away in the second half of his term and Biden inherited a weak one, which he was able to turnaround in the second half of his. It all depends on how you want to look at it. You can't have it both ways.

I watched both the CNN Townhall and the Fox interview of Harris by Bret Baier. Anybody who actually watches Kamala's word salad responses to easy interview questions could not, in good conscience, pretend that she is a strong candidate. Your assumption that I listen to talk radio or "talk TV" on a regular basis, is not true, and your statement just shows how you stereotype conservatives. During this campaign, much of my information is coming from Youtube channels and watching videos of the two candidates' speeches. Short of personally attending the speeches, that is as close to first hand information that one can get.(10-25-2024, 12:13 AM)Hoot Gibson Wrote:(10-24-2024, 11:09 PM)Ring'Em Up Wrote:Give credit where credit is due. As for the COVID pandemic, Trump was president during the peak of the pandemic. Black American unemployment reached record lows during his presidency. Because so many businesses were shutdown and people prevented from leaving home much, it was inevitable that there would be a strong economic rebound as the pandemic subsided. The record inflation spike was not inevitable. Biden and Harris deserve most of the blame for that, and the rate has still not returned to its pre-pandemic level.
