Leslie County 26 Paintsville 20
#1
Leslie County scored on a 98 yard touchdown pass on third down to take the lead late in the 4th.

Good back and forth game.

Paintsville almost scored on 4th and goal to take the lead right before the bomb that won Leslie the game, but they were called short on the inches line.

This was an ugly game by both teams. I don’t really keep up with Leslie, but Paintsville’s offense struggles bad without AJ Johnson. As bad as I hate to say it, Hazard and Pikeville both are gonna destroy us. Be a good time for both of those teams to rest some guys before the playoffs.

Nice Win Leslie County!!

I agree Redneck. I thought Lauffer did well at QB especially considering it’s not his position. Without Johnson it’s just not the same offense. Hard fought game and at one point Paintsville had it but the fumble late in the 4th derailed the chance to grab the win.

Leslie played as bad as possible and actually win. Guess that early game and long bus ride to Paintsville was rougher than anticipated. No energy at all in the whole stadium.
Collett had a big game, but it was just ugly defensively for Leslie.

Honestly, I don’t think either team wanted to be there. Like you said, no energy in the stadium. The body language of the players. Idk man. Wish they would have played Friday night. I think it would have been a much better game.

Congrats to Leslie on the W and good luck the rest of the way.

Tigers, gonna have to get something figured out without Johnson in the lineup. Keep grinding.

He’s out for the season. At least that’s the report I got yesterday at the game.

That's very unfortunate for the Tigers and Johnson.

Kid is a heckuva talent and he's a game changer for them.

I'm no coach, but I'd spread the field and put Lauffer at QB and let him run around making plays and try and salvage what they can this season. Kid is their best athlete that's healthy.

Believe there running back is solid too. #3. Don’t think he got enough touches early on in the season. But I believe he gets them now.

They had Lauffer at QB in this game.
