Hazard at Corbin 9/27

Hazard vs Corbin. Thoughts?
#2
Corbin wins by 35 or so but I think Hazard may get a score in the passing game. 42-7 Hounds
#3
Unbelievable scheduling 1A HAZARD

Corbin 49

Corbin should win big here. If they get a struggle win (which I count as anything other than complete domination) then that could spell trouble.

I need to see Hazard just come out and compete in this one. I don’t expect a win, but I just wanna see the fight. I really would love to go watch this one because I have family in the Corbin area but not sure if I can yet. Both teams are coming off losses so they both should be hungry.

Any live feed for this one maybe?

https://t1073.com/ is where anyone who watches a Corbin game at home. They do a good job in my opinion but maybe where I like listening to the guys doing the broadcast.

They couldn't be worse than Joey Hamilton on the Freddy D GLICOD thingy. Seriously, the first announcer that I ever wanted to fight. He was that annoying.

That was Tommy. Home and away. It cost Corbin a state title. Instead of a  tar and feathering like he deserved, they honor him at the Pigskin. Unbelievable!!!

Hazard definitely didn’t have a good year and hurt the Corbin RPI, but you can also lay blame to North Hardin as well. They was 1-10 same as Hazard. So not just Hazard hurt them.

The result in this one doesn't matter. For Corbin they need to control everyt aspect of the game and get that easy W to rest their players. As for Hazard, sure a win woulg be massive, but to me it is all about how they play. Do they compete and show any life? That is that to me is what we are looking for.
#14
I think Corbin wins but I think hazard scores at least 3 tds on them. Is Corbin QB hurt I seen he left game vs FD . Corbin for sure got Hazard out man. This were hazard going have really established the run this week keep clock moving.
#15
Corbin had several key players to get hurt Friday night early in game.. Hope these young players can get healthy before Johnson Central game in a couple of weeks
#16
It looked as if Corbin had plenty of injuries before the Douglass game.
#17
Hazard isn’t scoring 3 TDs on Corbin. They just need to compete and this game will show them things they need to clean up. Use it and move on. Hope to come out healthy.

No, Elam isn't hurt. I thought after watching film that Elam did a very good job in the game considering all things. I have never seen a kid look like he is about to get hit and throw on a back foot a rifle pass. Don't know what the status of the other players are but I think, the short answer to Elam coming out early was no need to risk injury when FD had the game in hand. So smart move on Corbin's end.

I agree. Absolutely no need for Elam to be playing late in the fourth quarter. Also, a good opportunity to get young Salmons some game reps.

Do we know anything about what exactly were the injuries to Pietrowski and Estep?  Are there any other injuries that the Hounds are dealing with that we know of?

I don't think losing to Corbin by a running clock will make them want to run him out of town, lol.

I'm afraid Hazard might be the next guy after a very aggravating game for Corbin against a 6A team. Coach Chandler is doing a great job at Hazard and him and Salmons are just having to fulfill a contract from previous Coaches. I just hope both squads can have a good game with no injury's to prepare for the next.

Safe to say it’s not the Corbin team from last season. I think Hazard will give them a decent ball game. 42-21 Corbin winning.
#26
Hazard has had a rough few years but they are starting to get better. They have a good young class that are maybe freshmen right now. But they are not ready for a game like this right now. I like to see the small schools compete with the big dogs but this one won't be close this year. Maybe in 2 years I could see Hazard competing at a high level.

Glad Hazard is playing this one, and I'm sure Salmons is looking forward to making his own schedule. Corbin rolls but hoping to see Hazard come and get some work in to get ready for Raceland and district.

Not even the Dukes could help Hazard in this one. Who are the two jokers who picked Hazard to win in the poll?

A little Old School history. I have been around to witness about half of the Corbin-Hazard games. Corbin has won 11 of the last 12 played. Hazard last won in 2010.

The teams have played a total of 27 times, with Corbin winning 20 of the contests. Interestingly, though, between 1950 and 1974, Hazard won five of the seven games played , outscoring the Hounds by a combined 114-33. The only Hounds wins during that stretch was a weird 7-4 final in '51 and a 7-6 win in '62.

In 1938, Corbin, under Coach Ted Meadors, won 7-0 at home. The weird part of that game is that it lasted only one half. The Hazard team packed up their belongings and left town at halftime and never returned to Corbin for 8 years. By that time, Meadors had been replaced by Ossie Burch, and the series resumed.
