Corbin vs Frederick Douglass updates
Halftime

FD 21
Corbin 7
Few thoughts. I’m not a fan of trying to run on a team that you can’t run on. Then the pass plays are vanilla and not enough spread imo. Throwing too many plays away trying to run. Defense has no way to stop inside QB run. Corbin missed a huge chance to get ahead with the interception but has stalled on a couple straight drives. FD looks to have taken over the game with there physicality and will only build on it. If you got a QB with an arm let him pass, run the spread .

Let's put it to rest that Corbin is an elite 4A. You are seeing what Old School has said all season long, since game 1. Very soft football team , not ready for prime time play. The '76 , '77 teams would devour this soft serve team.

Yeah, not impressive on the sidelines, either. When Corbin travels to the big city, this is the kind of shit show that you always see from Corbin. I've seen it for over 50 years. Boyle County shows what you do when you play in a big show.
Maybe they can put Dave Cox in at outside linebacker. No way they could find a helmet to fit his big head.

I'm gonna give ol' Cox sucker a piece of my mind next time I see him in the bakery section at Kroger. Wonder how he likes Lemon Meringue pie?  He owes Corbin a huge apology for assuring that there will be no titles for another 40 years.
Dave Cox getting rid of the best coach in the State is the Corbin version of “the curse of the Billy goat” or “the curse of the bambino” the beauty of it is that coach is gonna win 5 in a row and will have been to 7 straight title games. Probably the worst decision in the history of a superintendent ever.
It’s there homecoming soon teams on field
I think this first drive by Corbin to begin the 3rd quarter is huge if they don't get points on the board it is going to be rough for them, I think. Also, as warm as it is their defense has to be getting tired as much as they have been on the field.

I change my mind about Corbin-Johnson Central. No way Corbin goes in there and gets a win. They'll get hit with a 50 burger!!!!

Reminds me of the bowling green game. If Corbin don’t make a successful drive. It’s going to be a long second half.
Douglass out gained Corbin on the ground in the first half 160-20.

Cox's legacy in athletics will be the guy who single-handedly cost Corbin probably double digit titles by his stupid ego-driven decisions.  I've known him for over 50 years. I hate his sh!t-eating guts

Old School tried to tell all the Nostradumasses on here. This was not hard to predict.
Corbin to receive
Run to 21
Run ,2cd and 9
Corbin's first play of the 2nd half is another run for less than a yard.
Pass out of bounds, 3rd and 8
2nd down deep pass is incomplete and now it is a big 3rd and 9 for Corbin!
Pass for 1st down to 39
Big pass by Elam for a much needed first down of 16 yards.
Run swallowed up, 2cd and 11
Why they running?

Another first down run for no gain.
3rd and 14
Pas. For a few, 4th and 11
From the Douglass point of view with the lead they have they need to blitz Elam and not let him sit back there when they have pressured him and got him out the pocket he is not near as effective.
Corbin to punt
Douglass defense causes Corbin to punt on a 4th and 11.
