Casey County Football
#1
For those who follow the Rebels, what is going on in Liberty this season? Casey County has a record of 0-3, and have posted the following scores:

0-38 loss to Green County
0-43 loss to Campbellsville (In under a half, game called for weather)
8-48 loss to Wayne County

While the schedule is tough, it is not a schedule I would consider "elite". Just 2 years ago, the Rebels went 8-4, won a playoff game, and were district champions. In 2023, they won 5 games. So far in 2024, the Rebels have scored 1 touchdown.

So my question: What has happened down in Liberty?

From the data presented seems as if they are not scoring but one time, while the other teams are scoring ALOT!!!!!!!

Your hypothesis appears to be accurate.  I concur.

No offense to the county of Casey, for I have great friends from there. I don’t forsee a consistent successful football program EVER coming out of there.

Please change my mind

Steve Stonebraker would respectfully disagree. He won, at a very consistent level, for years at Casey County. Including wins over Bell, Taylor, Russell, Lincoln, etc. Good programs in that area.

Three different coaches in 3 years is part of the issue, but not the only one. This has caused Casey's numbers to drop by 40%. There are only 3 players prior to this season that has ever started a varsity game or seen meaningful minutes. Casey graduated (I believe) 15 seniors last season, which was all of their offensive production outside of maybe 50 yards. There is zero experience at QB, and 5 new lineman on the offensive side of the ball. It's just an unfortunate situation this season, and it won't magically change next season, but I do believe it will be better and will continue to get better.

Very strong explanation. Thank you for that!
