North Laurel at Franklin County 9/6

North Laurel at Franklin County. Thoughts?

I got to watch Franklin County game vs LCA and they flat out give the ball to the big running back. So the key for the game for North Laurel will be to stop the run. I would sell out on defense and make Franklin County beat me through the air. North Laurel played the run well against Whitley County. But they will need to do the same thing in this one. Linebackers better step up a little closer anticipating the run. Another smash mouth football game.

Franklin county will need to prove they can throw for them to win in the big games.

I agree. They had a heck of a passing game the year they went to the title game. I know that doesn't come around every year but it was dangerous.

I think Franklin will run over North Laurel in this game by a margin of 2+ tds

Win or lose, I’m just tickled that North has upgraded their non-district schedule immensely. Already played Bell and Whitley, Franklin Co. this week, Madison Central next, Wayne Co. later on. You can tell Chris didn’t make this schedule out before he left.

Bold prediction here but I think NL may keep this one close. Stop the run, and find a way to score. Franklin 28-20

I think Franklin will win. I too seen the game friday. But I felt like when FC wanted to pass they did. also got around the edges a few times on LCA. I feel like FC may be sandbagging offensively.

I like the word sandbagging. I have to ask because I didn't get to see this game. I know what Franklin is running wise. But are they developing a QB to pass and open up the defense because the big man running the ball will flat out get his yards and if a defense has to defend for a pass, Franklin is back in business.

I haven't seen Franklin play in person, I watched a bit of film I think from that they
will be running a lot. So far watching NL, you don't know exactly what they are
going to do, They have done different things, which kinda keeps the "D" on their
toes. They are a young team, 1st-year coach, but they are not afraid to take a
chance on plays you aren't expecting, we have noticed that about them. I looked
at Franklin's roster and they have a lot of Seniors listed which could be the
difference in the game?

pulling for north but their run comes to a end friday night

How does North compare to last years team? FC fumbled like 5 or 6 times last year, and pulled out a close win.. this year I feel like they are more together than they were at this point in 23

North is mixing it up on offense more and they look to be a good defensive team. I don't know if they will come down there and beat Frankln County at Frankin but if they put in a run stop defense and sell out on the gaps expecting big Christian Moore run the ball like he did against LCA, then it might be closer than you think. North has some talented players on the field. I like the QB. He needs to be in more of a short passing situation with the ability to run. He runs hard and North looked a little more dangerous of a team when he is spreading the field and taking off running. He looks like a running back when he takes off. They have a solid team.

I'm afraid the jags will fall back to earth this week. FC 28 North 14

FC seemed to struggle with qb run last week.. so that could make it more interesting.

Boyle gave up some big runs to that LCA QB also.

Boyle normally gets a free pass on their shortcomings, FC better sure it up.
