I hate to be that guy, but if Frank couldn’t win it with this team he’s never going to. He should’ve had 2 (maybe 3) region championships under his belt already. This was a solid team and it’s a shame this is how their season ended.

I would call it an upset but not a major one. And only because Powell was the favorite all season long. Hazard has been more in the contention talks the last half of the season. Hazard hit the ball really well last night but their defense kept Powell in the game when they had a chance to put them away. Powell hung around and battled and had a big chance late.

Couple tough calls went against the pirates, as well. Big check swing strikeout (didn’t ask for appeal) with bases laoded and 2 outs to end the inning.was for sure a blown call.  But it felt like Powell left about 20 runners on base. Overall a sloppy night offensively for them, didn’t execute and get runners across when they needed it most. 
About as exciting of 2 games as you could ask for. Atmosphere was great, and excited to see the finale on Friday.
