Why wouldn’t she take it? Didn’t she play for Leslie?

They have yet to enroll. The Clemmons parents are shopping. They will wind up at one of the 2 London schools, want to compete for championships and with the talent at either school they can do that. Although SL lost a piece of the Puzzle to KC I'm hearing that a replacement is already inbound and if correct is a gamechanger in the 13th. But Clemmons will not be at Whitley next year--Hopkins maybe.

Hearing neither of us are right.  Clemmons is staying put for now until her parents decide for sure but I've heard NL is where they're leaning.  Hopkins is going to Corbin.  She's been at multiple Corbin events and I heard from a family member its a done deal.

Actually hearing much of the same. I don't think Hopkins will be much of a factor at Corbin, her and the Walker girl are pretty much the same player. Clemmons is definately the prize. And Mills has enrolled at KC. Not hear much else on the ladies side in the 13th otherwise.

I've heard more movement at south as well.  I don't think summer ball will be a true indication of how things are going to look bc I've heard some of the moves aren't coming until after due to jobs, etc.

Same. If the one comes(have heard of 4 total) she will be the best player in the 13th. With what they have back plus what they moved out they will be a slim favorite in the region in my opinion with North

Guess the Clemmons kid is for sure staying at Whitley cause they just announced her dad as coach so now to see where the hopkins kid ends up. how many parents I mean coaches they gonna have at Whitley. Some things never change

Heard today Whitley is losing one of their players after all. Thought after summer ball they were going to somehow make that work but it’s looking like that’s not the case.

She wants to make it to region and knows she can’t do it at Whitley. This year the 50th belongs to SL and Corbin again. She could have made it her junior year because Corbin will be straight rebuilding

It’ll be corbin and south for the next several years if what I’m hearing is true.

What's the word around your neck of the woods. Transfers in possibly? Earlier in the season South was pegged to get two Perry Cent recruits. One high and middle but that ship has sailed from what I know. With the brother/sister combo from Owsley having gone to Montgomery as said, I don't see any more movement within the 13th at this time to cause any excitement. I know this is a WC thread though and didn't mean to get off track. I got to see WC last year several times. They are a young group with some size and talent. But with the way things are today. Keeping teams together seems to be the hardest part for coaches because good talent has people pulling at them at every turn to come here or go there. Mommy and daddy want their kids to be the superstar no matter what and the first chance they see to get a upper hand they will transfer their kid. Sad really.

Honestly can't see Corbin in the mix after this year(at least for maybe 2 years). The cupboard is bare of talent. Clem is all they have this year. South is a lock for the next 5 years

Yes sir the Perry girls would have helped, but the Owsley was not a good fit(at least for the girls because they just got rid of the same type player). And yes parents and AAU has really hurt the chances to keep good teams together. Everyones expectations exceed their talent.

South still in the mix to get a transfer but so is Corbin. I think Souder leaving hurt south some though. Corbin will be what Corbin always is. They always find a way to get the talent there and to keep them there and they’re working hard now to do just that. Don’t count the lady hounds out just yet. Movement is coming.

Honestly South is prob the 3rd best team in the 13th at the moment although the transfer you are speaking of will not come their because her parents are looking for a starring role and that will not happen at South because they have more young talent than anyone in the 13th. Corbin on the other hand will be a good landing spot because other than Clem the hounds have no impact players.....although they have no one to feed her the ball---she will have to get and work for her own points this year and the next 2--honestly I think she stays at Whitley but I won't be the outcome her or her parents want...at least not this year.

I think we are talking about 2 different kids. Either way it’ll be interesting to see what happens.

I’m going to predict a team that no one has mentioned much in this thread to win the 13th…..Knox Central. Halle Collins will be on a mission to lead her team to Rupp in March.

No doubt Halle is a great player, but guard play is what has hindered Knox the last few years. Their guards are tiny(and only got smaller with the transfer). They struggle mightily with pressure. Also NL and SL have players that are the same size as Halle(which she struggles against as well). Knox will dominate the 13th other than 2 teams and I don't think they can overcome them.

Halle is a great player. I think the Mills girl helps out a lot. KC may be in the running this year for a region title. As far as the Whitley situation goes, they may be losing 2. One set of parents met with admin end of last week and it looks like it’s a done deal.

1000% Halle is a great player. Don't know if Mills helps or not. Most of the returning team is not fans. Doesn't really add anything that the current girls already had plus they know she is chasing her moms dream. I will put it this way, I have heard that SL was not upset about losing her lol. As far as Whitley goes, I know that the Hopkins girls parents have shopped her to 2 local teams but who is the 2nd--have not heard that one.

Haven’t heard her name in the mix of leaving. Just that south is about to get a transfer of at least one.

Hmmmm. Whitley only has 3 that would play minutes at SL. Again have heard of one that is locked to Corbin and obviously one is staying at Whitley because dad is the Assistant. Can't imagine the third coming though because of the competition at her position. We will know shortly though with school starting soon.

I think the 13th is a toss up between KC and NL. Collins and Nicholson are 1 and 2 in the region IMO. NL picked up some size over the summer based on what I was told by some people watching them over the summer.

Nl is your favorite but they haven’t picked up any size. I believe KC will implode too much team turmoil already. SL has picked up a strong rebounder, and Mabe should be a monster this season. I believe they will push NL by seasons end

Time will tell I guess. Hate to hear there’s turmoil with the team. I wish them each the best wherever they end up.

Willing to provide a hint on this rebounder? If this is true it has not being talked about in the circles I frequent. But the circle is small haha

Can tell you 2. A former starter for SL who was the teams leading rebounder a couple of years ago is returning to the team and will be an immediate impact player for them and also have a new transfer in that will play minutes.
